Re: Summer Transfer Thread 2011-2012
Makes sense. Get Carney in as LB cover - he'll be relatively cheap (esp. as Blackpool have a £10k limit which he'll be used to). We don't waste another loan spot on a LB and he'll be a damn sight cheaper than Bridge.munichhammer wrote:Adzman on Twitter says that we have offered Carney a 1 year contract and have told Illunga to find himself a new club.

David Carney?
Is this the guy who has pace to burn, really light on his feet?

Re: Summer Transfer Thread 2011-2012
For people wondering who Adzman is - he's a West Ham fan on Twitter, interviewer for this fgear.tv car site. He has a contact inside the club who he jokingly refers to as 'clunge' (Karren Brady ). If I remember right, an ex-girlfriend of his.
He's been spot on about most bits of information... On deadline day in particular he had news of the signings before I saw them anywhere else and of Stanislas leaving etc. One of the few people who knows his stuff about the transfers!

Re: Summer Transfer Thread 2011-2012
Carney sounds good to me...gotta be better than Bridge in terms of value for money!
Bridge is the kind of signing we were making under Avram's era and that alone is a good reason to steer clear as far as I'm concerned...gotta move forward not back and I hope that's what Sam's thinking too!
Anyone know anything about this Brazilian fella Juca, who was also trialled in the development squad?
(sorry if already posted...haven't read all the thread)

The 'I saw' part of your statement would appear to be the most pertinent...Hayden wrote:On deadline day in particular he had news of the signings before I saw them anywhere else
Re: Summer Transfer Thread 2011-2012
Ever the optimist... Twitter being awash with sports journalists, he announced them some while before they were being reported by ANY of those reporters / news outlets. I fail to see the problem? 'I saw' is just focusing on semantics.Up the Junction wrote: The 'I saw' part of your statement would appear to be the most pertinent...
His record would suggest to me that he is indeed privy to information from within the club, regardless of your thoughts on Twitter. I know you're sceptical of information coming from Twitter and I somewhat agree, there are many out there who don't know a thing, but of course that doesn't mean the rule applies to all.
Also he claims that a decision hasn't been made on Juca but he has until Saturday.
Edit - Also, I mean no disrespect... but the information he provides at an early time suggest to me he has indeed got a contact.

And that's fine. As always with 'ITK' knowledge on here surely the policy is take it or leave it?Up the Junction wrote:The problem is I don't believe you.
Edit - Supposed ITK knowledge from him I mean, not me. Just to clarify.
When you say you don't believe me... do you mean the information or the fact that he was reporting it before news outlets / reporters? if it's the latter then that can be proved by looking at the timing of tweets / news stories... if you so wish. Arduous task though!

You're doing neither, you're claiming this person called things (plural) right before everyone else. Which I'm disputing.Hayden wrote:As always with 'ITK' knowledge on here surely the policy is take it or leave it?
Feel free, you'll be wasting your time though!Hayden wrote:Arduous task though!
For the record, and to assist Hayden when he compiles his who's-who of 'ITKs', this was first mentioned here on KUMB over a week ago.munichhammer wrote:Adzman on Twitter says that we have told Illunga to find himself a new club.

I believe you Hayden. Been following Adzman for a few weeks and I also see stuff from him before elsewhere. If in doubt give him a follow and make your own mind up - you'll have to put up with stuff about his Ferrari though!Up the Junction wrote:The problem is I don't believe you.
