Transfer Window: January 2012

Post by Starkey »

Too early? I guess a lock down may follow!

BUT Someone mentioned Chamack (sp) from Arsenal? This would be a good signing. I think this indicates that assuming we remain in the running for automatic promotion we are going to really go for it and get 3 or 4 good uns in.

I have also heard we are after Shelby from Liverpool in January. He has speeded up at Blackpool and showing the good form he had at Charlton (luckily he was ***** against us)

We do need pace but equally we need to fend off the advances that will undoubtably come from the premier league for one or two of our best lads.

I think we need a Yossi type player- bit of class on the pitch.

Definitely need pace. Mervan Celik seems like a good shout, if we can get him over Parma. Another left-sided player is a MUST though, we've only got Taylor and Montano anywhere near the first team. Sell Piq and Sears and bring in a couple of strikers if we can.

Good shout. Makes my mouth water at the prospect of seeing him in our colours. <smileywinkeyfingy>

These definately, really missed a Yossi type player or a rapid winger who can put in a beastly cross. Not had it since Etherington and Benayoun IMO so need to improve in these areas? Any ideas?

I know its only twitter but that adzman yesterday said that our transfer targets in January will be Celik. Andy Johnson and Liam ridgewell. Straight from the mouth of Clunge apparently. Take of it what you will but ive never seen any of the info he gives as wrong. Thats not to say that the deals would come off though is it

Id like to see Santa Sullivan splash some cash on a couple of youngsters who would not only be first team contenders now but could be top players for years to come:

Shelvey,
Victor Moses,

We need to add some pace or creativity to our midfield. One or the other will do for me

Then maybe our games might not be so ****ing boring and tedious to watch

Watching West Ham win is and will never be boring to me. However, i appreciate where you are coming from! A tricky, pacy, jinky winger and i reckon even you'd start smiling again.

Nobody really.

Get everyone fit and perhaps give some of the youngsters that are doing well on loan a chance. Nouble, Hall, Montano and Lee have all done very well on loan so far. I can't believe Nouble will offer less than Piquionne and Montano looks like a jinky little winger who knows where the goal is.

The only area that might be worth looking at is a centre-half as cover in case one of Reid, Tomkins or Faye gets injured.

Gotta agree with shouts for a creative midfielder, but would he fit in alongside Big Sam's preferred 3 of the unmovable Nolan, Noble and Diop?

Would Liam Rosenior be worth a "punt".

Seems to me, he is always in the mix for Hull. Always creating chances as well as defending.
