Poor lad ... and I feel for his parents, too. I know from personal experience that there is absolutely nothing worse in the world than having a child suffering from a really serious disease. Nor is there anything better than coming out the other side with a healthy family once again ... My thoughts are with the Tombides family and I pray that the operation has been a total success.

Wasn't he on chemo since July?

Removal of lymph nodes; lymph nodes filter toxins out of the system and often scoop up floating cancer cells from things like testicular cancer and can be affected themselves. Or so I read once..

Great news. I used to see dad in the gym every now and again but not seen him for about 3 months now, hopefully he will feel that the family can start to get on with their lives a bit more now.

Great to hear. I'm in the very early stages of rehab following an ACL reconstruction on Friday; I can only imagine what rehab after cancer treatment must be like, especially for someone so young. Keep going, Dyl

Nice article on the O.S. about the lad. In training, hopefully now on road to playing again - can't wait for his debut.

What's so good to read is the spirit and camaraderie amongst the youth players and their coaches. They are all a credit to the club
