Re: The Olympic Stadium: Poll IVMinutes fir the SAB. Meeting in feb.
I read them 3 times and can't see anything in there that compromises the bid or me. http://mywhufc.com/mywhufc/Supporter_ad ... group.html
Re: The Olympic Stadium: Poll IV
Who are these people? I quote -: 'A final ‘straw poll’ showed an overwhelming majority in favour of the move by the close of the meeting. The club are due to receive feedback from the Supporter Advisory Board’s consultation ahead of the 23 March deadline.' Thats the clubs promise to consult the fans taken care of then. And theres more -: Previous process had seen supporters 87% positive towards a move (PL Fan Survey). Most recent KUMB poll (on 23 February) shows that the stadium move has 57% in favour, 31% against and 10% undecided So, on the 23rd Feb this year the latest Kumb poll had it as 57% in favour? Complete crap. The rest is all the old stuff coming out again, who actually are SAB? And who decided they represent me? I thought kumb had reps on there. Why are they even doing a straw poll of SAB members? They know full well its a big cheesy yes. •
Re: The Olympic Stadium: Poll IVDid anyone challenge the use of the results of the polls (especially the 87% one) or point them in the direction of the latest one on here which has the majority against.
Seems the Club only use polls for spin when they are in favour of a move, then discount having another one now. Contradictory to say the least, As for the straw poll at the end of the meeting, it seems some folks really are taken in by a load of PR/spin! Staggering really.....
Re: The Olympic Stadium: Poll IVSuerly people realise G&S are going to do what they see as best for the long term future of the club.
Sullivan told Iain Dale this recently remember........... ID: Have you been surprised at the reaction of fans to the Olympic Stadium? It is quite split, but you might have expected it to be 90-10 against, but it has been more like 50-50, but I think opinion is now shifting away from it. DS: When we did an opinion poll we got 87% in favour. But it’s the one area… I’m going to have another look at it myself and see what can be done, but I think I have said all I can say for now. ID: Just one more thing, there have been various fans group say they want you to hold a proper referendum of fans, maybe get the Electoral Reform Society to oversee it. Is that a possibility? DS: No, because who would vote? Would you just let season ticket holders vote? All the fans who say they are supporters but don’t come to games? We’re not a democracy. Where you’ve got fans running clubs they usually go bust. I don’t think you could even give fans the true… In a perfect world you’d love to keep Upton Park, play one year at the Olympic Stadium, and then ask people which they prefer. But it’s not viable. We wouldn’t get a lease for 12 months. I tell you, none of us know the answer. None of us know the answer. And I really can’t go any further than that. I hope your readers will understand. It was never gonna be any different..... If you really think it is you are deluding yourselves.....

Re: The Olympic Stadium: Poll IVIf we end up at the OS, i will probably do a couple games out of curiosity and that will be it. Not all is doom and gloom though as i will still have the Away games which to be honest, i prefer anyway at the moment.
Same solid staunch resilient happy faces each time.
Re: The Olympic Stadium: Poll IVThe fact that the club have quoted an outdated poll is not as dissapointing as their unwillingness to consult fans and yet speak of 57% fans in favour and a 'straw poll' of 20 fans!
They seem to be speaking out of both sides of their mouths.
Re: The Olympic Stadium: Poll IVIf voting changed anything, they would make it Illegal
Re: The Olympic Stadium: Poll IV
Your right,I have nothing againt the SAB and why they want to be members of this board, but I did not vote for these people to represent me. I have no problem in them adding thoughts to new kits, ticketing prices, mascots etc but how can this board represent all West Ham fans in what is the biggest decision in the clubs history. And how can they go and consult with other fans now that they have signed a confidentiality agreement?
Re: The Olympic Stadium: Poll IVSo SAB are going to contact us or not ?
Re: The Olympic Stadium: Poll IVAlfieG
On a related note, any links for that Sullivan interview? can only find part 1
Re: The Olympic Stadium: Poll IV
I did a straw poll in the pub tonight, no one thought it was a good idea For the move 0% Against 100% How come they didn't quote the Newham Recorder one form last year 87% Against

Re: The Olympic Stadium: Poll IV
do we represent fans, or are we a cross section of west ham fans. A wide range of people, white, black, some in suits, some not, old, young, middle aged there's even women involved. Can't see what the fuss is about
Re: The Olympic Stadium: Poll IV
In the VIc, but will try a straw poll in the Sun Friday night
Re: The Olympic Stadium: Poll IV
Really? These people must be stopped at all costs...
Re: The Olympic Stadium: Poll IV
Genius.
Re: The Olympic Stadium: Poll IVPinky - first let me apologise for my lack of multi quoting skills, but in answer to your answers -:
mushy wrote:Thats the clubs promise to consult the fans taken care of then. Pinky wrote - Why would a straw poll of 43 members of the SAB carry more weight than the poll conducted by this site ? Why the drama over this ? Why now ? Mushy replied -:i The poll they referred on this site was the middle one of the three, the one heavily influenced by the Spurs threat. Why chose that one? Its not the latest one, it’s the ONLY one of the three from this site that was positive to the move. mushy wrote :And theres more -: Previous process had seen supporters 87% positive towards a move (PL Fan Survey). Most recent KUMB poll (on 23 February) shows that the stadium move has 57% in favour, 31% against and 10% undecided mushy wrote So, on the 23rd Feb this year the latest Kumb poll had it as 57% in favour? Complete crap . Pinky wrote -: Not crap at all .Instead of digging out members of the SAB why not round up those conned by the Spurs "interest" - I bet not many of those that voted in that poll will be with you and I at Leeds on Saturday .Or maybe they will - who knows ? Mushy replied -: Not too sure where I have been digging out members of SAB particularly but I may have done. Not too sure what going to Leeds has to do with it either, are you telling me that all those from SAB that voted for are going to Leeds? Whats crap is that they have used the expression ‘the most recent kumb poll’ and pretended its from the 23rd Feb. The poll they refer to is actually from Jan 2011. 23rd Feb happens to be the date the latest poll starts from. mushy wrote: The rest is all the old stuff coming out again, who actually are SAB? And who decided they represent me? Pinky wrote -: I've already answered the first bit, as for the second , you too had an opportunity to join the SAB .I believe every single applicant was accepted .You seemingly chose not to . Mushy replied -: This part is true, having been an old time member of the fans forum (pre Karen) I have become a little cynical as to their use. When I went a lot of time was taken up with discussing the merits of selling West Ham calculators in the club shop, the bloke next door whose kid is a great footballer not being picked up by West Ham and the current managers inability to pick the best team. (Sound familiar?). mushy wrote: I thought kumb had reps on there. Pinky replied -: You'd need to ask the guvnor if he has an arrangements with any individuals, he certainly doesn't with me , but I cannot , and would not speak for the other 9 or 10 regular posters on this site that were in the room, that I could identify , not that I would name any of them . Mushy replied -: I think I maybe got a little confused between SAB and the latest Fan Forums which does have some kumbers on there. mushy wrote: Why are they even doing a straw poll of SAB members? They know full well its a big cheesy yes. Pinky replied -: Just so you know, one member of the SAB , who is clearly in favour of the move asked for it .Why shouldn't that person ? If they believe it's worthy of doing - how is it any different to any of the polls in which you have partaken on this site , and which as the minutes above make clear, have been referred to by the club, and commented on by the guvnor of this site in the early pages of this thread .Or do you only like polls that confirm your own opinion ? Mushy replied – my objections are as mentioned above, the only one of the three they refer to is the pro vote. If anyone only likes polls that confirms their opinion then surely its them? Pinky wrote -: At no stage did my arm go in the air ( which could be verified by the KUMBer sat next to me), but neither will I criticise the people who's arms did go in the air ,nor reveal who they are , as they were expressing their view, and should be allowed to do so without the fear of recrimination and reprisal either on this website or real life. Mushy replied -: Fear of recrimination?? That’s a bit over the top no? Pinky wrote -: I'm known to the clubs executives by both my cyber and real names having been "outed" by a third party . Mushy replied -: Outed? That’s a little odd, why would anyone do that?
