Burnley 2 West Ham Utd 2 (24/03/12)

Saturday, 24th March, KO 3PM, Turf Moor, Burnley, BB10 4BX

Reverse Fixture: West Ham United 1-2 Burnley, Sat 3rd December 2011

Now unbeaten in their last nine games, West Ham head to Turf Moor with the dubious distinction of drawing their last four games 1-1, and have not won since the 2-0 away victory at cardiff City.

West Ham will be looking to gain a full three points from this game, to keep the pressure up on 2nd place Reading, who are only 2 points ahead, and crucially, The Hammers have a game in hand.

Guy Demel, Pap-Bouba Diop and Juilien Faubert are all racing to be in contention for a return.

Burnley go in to the game with no wins in their 5 games, their last a 2-0 home win over fellow northerners Barnsley back on Valentines Day. Since then they have lost 3 and drawn two, and are in 15th place, sitting on 49 points.

On paper, this should be a comfortable win for the mis-firing Hammers, however, as we are finding out, nothing can be taken for granted in this division.

My comments are locked in the other thread so here goes. I think anyone who thinks we are getting something from this game is just wishful thinking. They are faster attacking than us and beat us at home, yes we are on an unbeaten run but what ever we had against millwall, cardiff and blackpool is long gone. They problem is like reading last night lose,we are at home and have the chance to punish them but we are not capable of that anymore, for me play-offs at best, its was in our hands but we just keep fluffing it. I don't think we are good enough atm to beat reading at home and win and extra game than them and have our forwards score more goals than there's...sorry.

It's nowt about being on any kind of run. The boss has asked me to do the match-threads, and I am happy to oblige.

Why do you think he keeps locking the others for?

Part of my strategy was to keep saying i'd update at a later date, but as i never did, and we won, i kept it going as i got all superstitious..

We started going all 1 pointy when mine started to get locked.

You're talking to someone who can sometimes wear specific clothing on a match day, even though i'm 8,000 miles away, if i remember it's what i've worn on a previous win day...

I do get a tad superstitious.

I was joking. I was however wondering how long this bad run can continue before you pass the buck

How about giving Major a go... Opening post of " You better ****ing win you bunch of useless *****"

I've got a feeling they're gonna completely play us off the park, cos they're definitely capable of doing so, but we sneak it 1-0 somehow.

That's my heart anyway, my head says they'll play us off the park and beat us 2-0.
