Re: Summer 2012 Transfer and Rumours Thread
I would like to be the first to say a big fat BOOOOOO to Michael Owen even on a pay as you play deal.
We will be getting rid of these players regardless of what league we are in anyway IMO: Faubert/Carew/Piqiuonne/Sears/Green (even though I don't want this to happen but I think we all know he wants out)
N'zonzi, Clyne, Olsson to start with wouldn't be bad business.

Do you reckon he'd drop a division to play for us, then?TheFuMaster wrote:But i'd like to put Ian Evatt forward

I agree. And he'd be a good target, if we win saturday. But he will probably prefer a more established prem team to us. Unless he loves Sam, who gave him his break in the prem....djclipz wrote: balls.... that old chestnut. although i wouldn't have thought the compensation would be out of this world... but u never know.

If Martinez goes to Liverpool a couple of Wigan players could be unsettled
Wouldnt say no to Moses
or Fletcher/Kightly from Wolves

If we could get one from Wigan it would be Diame. Some engine on that lad. However, I fear he'll go to Anfield with his current boss.GJE wrote:If Martinez goes to Liverpool a couple of Wigan players could be unsettled

The only player I'd take from a relegated team is Matt Jarvis.

Re: Scouting Overseas
To be fair, he's not that bad a player and £7 million is a good price. It's not like he couldn't succeed, it's just that it's going to take a lot of adjustments from him. Has a bit of the Taarabt's about him where he does too much but does possess a great deal of technical skill. He also goes down from a cool breeze and isn't much of a goalscorer which is a negative since he's likely only to be useful in a front three. Like I said, it'll be interesting to watch -- especially on the smaller pitches against physical sides...someone might just send him into the stands with a tackle.D C wrote:My online German friends are laughing at Chelski signing him.
