...what exotic signings can we expect upon our return to the top flight?
Sam likes a flash of glamour in amongst the muscle.

Well hopefully we wont be getting any of the above as Campo was on his last legs at Bolton, Anelka is at a minted Chinese club and to be fair, I haven't heard of the others... :crest:

No idea, but given Sam's history in the market I'm f*cking excited.

I reckon we will grab J.Cole (Liverpool), M.Olsson (Blackburn), P.Robinson (Blackburn), Mccormack (Leeds) and a few players that used to be absolute quality and are now in their last few years of their career and a few lads that no-one has heard of...

If we can be patient enough to live through a couple of hard fought seasons in the top flight THEN I believe Sam could do something pretty special at our club, as he did at Bolton

Providing enough supporters can see the bigger picture, I smell good times on the horizon

I think playing for Real Madrid in the Champions League Final (and winning) is pretty glamorous.

Campo was ****ing superb for Bolton.

I agree, for most of his time there. But even Matty Taylor admitted that near the end, he was pretty unfit and immobile.
Even if you disagree, he must be getting on now?

...just using those 4 signings as an example of some of the unexpected high profile transfers Sam has done in the past

I think that Chet's point is that these are the type of quality signings Allardyce has attracted in the past, not who we should sign now, especially as Anelka is the only one still playing :D

like all fans I get over excited by transfer rumours/activity - usually is is unrealistic nonsense (too many to mention) or just a waste of money (Savio/Behrami/Ljundberg/McCarthy/Kovac etc.etc.etc.) but I think with Sam in charge there's a real chance that we might get one or two nice surprises.

bloody hell, school holidays isn't for another couple of weeks.

But yes, for what its worth i think Sam is a respected enough manager to be able to sign us a few coups. I hope Joe Cole is the first one.
