Re: The dinner threadSounds like a blinder - proper after school summer "tea". Inhaled in front of Harold Lloyd in 4 minutes before sprinting back outside to continue pissing about until the sun sets.
Re: The dinner threada nice chicken stir fry, glass noodles, peppers and shrooms
Re: The dinner thread
I wanna be 13 again!
Re: The dinner threadMrs Czech has been doing her nut because I don't cook, so yesterday I did Sweet and Sour Chicken. I was very impressed with myself, until she pointed out that the only thing that needed cooking was the Chicken
Re: The dinner thread
Re: The dinner threadHome made spag bol with homemade garlic bread.
500g Mince. 1 Red Onion 1/2 Red Pepper (never used to put this in but its immense) Garlic 1/2 glass of red wine Tin of chopped tomatoes Some fresh herbs from garden Tomato Puree. Tomato Ketchup Reggae Reggae sauce (usually put a bit of BBQ in but had none) 1 Beef Oxo Cube Salt Pepper Tesco Everyday Spaghetti, 24p and i find is pretty good aslong as you cook it correctly...... Boiling water, olive oil, dont over cook. One French Baguette, frozen garlic sprinkles, proper butter and mixed herbs = Garlic Bread.
Re: The dinner threadTonight:
Chicken marinaded all day in barbeque sauce, wrapped in bacon which has been marinaded in barbeque sauce, then cheese on top, roasted new potatoes and sweetcorn.
Re: The dinner thread
Just had it and it was ****ing gorgeous.
Re: The dinner thread
Just done that but without the mince , and 6 deskinned tomatoes instead of tinned , a bit of chicken stck cube instead of beef. De-Skinning tomatoes & a pinch of sugar will be much better than tinned though its a bit fiddly
Re: The dinner threadLast night, jacket spud, cheese, bbq beans and a massive crunchy salad with mustard dressing.
Tonight, rump steak & eggs, chunky chips, salad and bbq beans.
Re: The dinner thread
So 6 fresh Tomatoes, How do you de skin them? Like peeling a potato?!? Do you de skin, mix the sugar in then add it altogether to your spag bol?
Re: The dinner threadpour some boiling water into a pyrex bowl...enough to cover your tomato....slit the skin of the tomato with a knife...leave it in the water for a little while..the skin will start to peel off..peel it off with your fingers...chop up the tomato and add to your sauce..add the sugar as you would salt or pepper.....remember ketchup is very sweet too..best to taste as you go !..(sometimes a little balsamic vinegar works well)
Re: The dinner threadlinda mac sausages..mash and spring onions..baked beans...bread and butter.
Re: The dinner threadFish + chips, mushy peas with bread and butter
Re: The dinner threadA kebab around 3am tomorrow morning after a load of Heinekens tonight in Bethnal Green
Re: The dinner threadPasta. Yawn.
Re: The dinner thread
A boring, boring dinner, whack a bit of pesto on it, melt some cheese on it and your onto a winner, I enjoy pesto pasta with melted cheese and chicken myself, other than that I try to steer clear of it other than pasta bake with meatballs. I have pie, chips and some sort of green stuff for dinner tonight.
Re: The dinner threadOkay, I wasn't having plain pasta. Am making a sauce of onions, tomatoes, pepper, sweetcorn & red chili, and am roasting some sausages to chop into it.
Still pasta though, and I tire of "meat/veg/carb" dishes all the time.
Re: The dinner thread
Ah I see mate, fair enough that sounds alright to me! I can imagine, I think I've had meat in nearly all my dinners this week, can't get enough of the stuff, but a good bit of pesto pasta is beautiful.
