Looks that way, bet it's going to be a bit pricey flying to Portugal in August.

Although it could be worth it as their ground is rather unique and their goalkeeper is called Quim

Just to let anyone whose in Vienna know that there is a British Pub there called 'The Red Lion' which will definately have a Hammers flavour to it.
How do i know? Because from July 1st i will be taking it over and running it!
And when i found out a few weeks ago that we were playing a friendly against Austria Vienna less than a week later, i knew someone was smiling on me.
Maybe a good meeting place pre and post match?
Happy hour prices for anyone wearing the colours.
My names Barry, Baz to my mates and the pubs address is : Lowengasse 6, 1030 Vienna. It's close to the Danube canal and the amusement area called the Prater.
My number, from the 1st July, is 0043 664 7954852
I look forward to seeing any Hammers there not only around the time of this fixture, but at any time!
Come on you Irons!
Barry.

Cheers for puttung that up and beating me to it 10 Iron.

Be great to see some Claret & Blue for pre match drinks.

Baz.

Definitely up for the Braga fixture, I've always wanted to visit the Estádio Municipal.

Braga is northern Portugal, not sure direct flights to Porto would be that expensive albeit in the school holidays. Not that many holiday resorts up in the north. Would probably be even cheaper to fly to Santiago de Compostela just over the border in Galicia/N Spain which is roughly about an hours drive.

So we get a game in Portugal - not in the Algarve as I've been hoping for years, not in the Lisbon area, but right 'up north'!!!

My son tells me it's about an 8 hour drive (groan) from where we live in Spain but he's keen to make the trip and is already looking for a reasonably priced hotel in the area (sugestions/recommendations welcome).

A very respectable 10 Euros. I was given this information by an Austria Vienna supporter.

Are they selling Vienna tickets at the ground?

Am thinking of going to renew tomorrow, so will pick up some pre season tickets too.

Faro is a long way from Braga

However, seriously considering flying to Porto, watch the game and then get a flight to faro and enjoy a few days in the Algarve. Flight prices work out the same as no way would i consider getting the 6:30am flight back from Porto or whatever it is, and the evening flights are more pricey.

The tickets for the West Ham United End are available only on 07 July 2012 at the cashier desk directly at the western tribune (Westtribüne). The cashier desk opens two hours before the game.

Best regards,

FK Austria Wien AG

Tickets are 10 euros

We usually have a good following at pre-season friendlies and it is probably worth calling up the ticket office to buy your tickets in advance as with such a small allocation, there is every chance it could sell-out

Looking to do this (Braga) on the cheap and have found the following thus far- £137 for flights, £30 for 3 nights in a hostel 1km from the stadium and £31 for a taxi from Porto airport to Braga and back again. Total= £198

*price is based on four people travelling together.
