1. When the atmosphere's good, it's unforgettable. Millwall, Ipswich semi, and even the Cardiff semi at home are all recent examples
2. I like the 'feel' of the place, not sure why but when I go to away games where stadiums are on industrial estates it just feels like a place to watch football...and that's it.
3. I like the stadium, the old style chicken run mixed with the new west stand is unique.
4. I like the people, most of the asians I've encountered have been really polite. Generally has a good working class vibe.
5.Despite the long queues for the tube, the plastic looking towers at the front, the fact the hammersmith and district lines are ***** it feels like a home for football for me.

When we eventually leave Upton Park and they demolish it, would you purchase a stamped brick, seat or lump of turf as Memorabilia?

Slightly off topic but the 5 things I like about Upton Park have been mentioned several times over.

And this fella: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETSl8gWsFZ0

Irrespective of the surrounding area, we ALL go there to watch our team, West Ham United, play football and have done for generations. Some posters on here have done so for longer than a lot of us have been alive, along with parents & grandparents that are no longer with us.

THAT is why the area means so much to a lot of people, whether they were born/lived within sight of the floodlight towers or not. It's the area that OUR team has resided in for over 100 years and that makes it special.

1. Pubs
2. The ease of getting to/from the ground either by car or train
3. The East stand (or chicken run as it was once known).
4. The Bobby Moore bust in the reception of the BML
5....and most importantly, the history.

I have my eye on the MDF Towers. They would looking cracking on either side of my driveway, and I am sure I would only need an Allen key to dismantle them.

So people in their 20's and 30's aren't allowed an opinion on Upton Park? Sounds fair.

1. It's got the modern stadium/old school ground mix spot on.
2. You can just feel the history when you're in the ground - proper old school ground. Money can't buy that.
3. The amount of pubs to choose from for a pre-match pint.
4. Atmosphere for big games - something special about Upton Park. Can be proper hostile.
5. Right in amongst the houses, like a proper British ground should be. Pity this means nothing to the majority of the locals.
