Some of the others we'll probably never know as they could be due to the fidelity of the photography, look at the trouble we had proving that the early 1900s kits weren't pink and that was despite strongly suspecting that South West Hams kits were pink and that there'd been a mix up.
I remember it well, still have the splinters from Stratford Library.I've seen evidence for all white shirts and for all Castle blue shirts in the early days too.
Yes seen both somewhere in one of those early newspapers

Which reminds me that one of the Thames Ironworks FC kits has drifted on Historical Kits again, I mailed them about it a couple of weeks back but haven't heard anything back yet and it's still as was on the site. I'll give it a while longer then mail again. It's amazing how the record drifts, I'll wager that there's many kits on there from the early days that didn't exist. The one they've got listed 1897-99 did exist but only the goalkeeper wore the red sash shown, it was to differentiate him from the rest of the team in the days before keepers jerseys. I wonder if we should put together a KUMB archive ?

I'm sure that was the point of the pic, it was to bring together all the ex hammers that were managers at the time.
The one that used to hang in cassertaris got stolen, that's why he took down all his west ham pics off the wall.

Dont think he was a gooner, sold up after his dad died to become a black cab driver. I'm sure I remember him taking his kids over there
