Salvador k/o 9:00 pm

It will be hot as hell, with 75 per cent strength sapping humidity too, but surely the end of the road for Los Ticos ?

Wouldn't it be nice to see Robben go through a game without a diving. You never know it might happen.

Go on Ticos, go out and attack. Who cares if you lose 10 nil. You've got nothing to lose. Don't be the French. Leave it all on the pitch. Órale Ticos! Save the knockouts.

I fear The Netherlands might tear Costa Rica a new one today. But CR have been plucky thus far if nothing else and deserve their place in the QF

Alright, I've had about enough of these espn human interest featurettes voiced over by some ridiculous famous actor. "Costa Rica are the human in all of us." WTF are you talking about Tom Cruise. Enough already.

Costa Rica are top of the "getting carded" list so they don't mind dishing it out.

The ref has handed out 8 yellows and one straight red in his three games so far.

I think you'll find the match they had against Greece was a bit of a bloodbath......but the stats are the stats and they are missing Oscar because of the straight red.

The Dutch goalie has seen more of the ball taking goal kicks from rubbish whacks up the park by CR than any other player in the first ten.

I'm getting the impression Robben is staying on his feet because he knows the ref knows.
