Went for undecided. Don't think we have seen enough of the new signings to say definitively whether they will be a success or not. Disappointed that we didn't sign another CB - am worried that it may come back to bite us later in the season.

Voted no. Would have voted yes....happy with all of the signings in....but I think we needed that 4th CB.

We've got 3 center halfs and 2 midfielders who can play there. That's fine, in my opinion of courseGator_Hammer wrote:Voted no. Would have voted yes....happy with all of the signings in....but I think we needed that 4th CB.

I hope you are right. I'll be happy to be proven wrong.Yea Why Not wrote:

Re: The Transfer Window Poll
The 4th CB thing does concern me slightly but on the whole there's no way that not adding one can classify this as a bad window... this is one of the best ones I can remember.

We have certainly strengthened the 1st team, bench and squad overall. Really happy with that. Kudos to all involved.

Re: The Transfer Window Poll
Best window in donkey's. Some superb deals mixed with some shrewd signings.
Unmentioned is the movement from the club, which I think will benefit the club going forward. Ringo had completed all unfinished business after he left before his time in 2008, while Taylor , Diame and Henderson had done all they could with the club. Nocherino, Borriello and Armero have been upgraded on in loan deals. Only real shame is Collison.
But generally the squad is stronger. But we still end another CB

Re: The Transfer Window Poll
Very good window, nice mixture of purchases for the future, bit of experience and the bit of wild card punt. Not sure why everyone is concerned about a 4th CB as both Song and Kayoute can play at centre back so think we are covered. Interesting to see how our midfield is going to shape up though and where/if Nolan is going to play when everyone is fit.
No doubt we are a much stronger squad than this time last year. No excuses from Allardyce now, he has been backed by the owners in my opinion given the debt we still carry and our performance last year

Re: The Transfer Window Poll
I don't think we've got too much to complain about. Nice mix of players and I think that having a 12 million striker in Valencia means that there's a little less pressure on Sam to put Carroll back into the team as soon as he's off his death bed. If ever there was a 'bet the farm' signing, Carroll's been it.

Re: The Transfer Window Poll
Not a bad window overall, just one signing short, a new manager and it would have been the perfect window

Re: The Transfer Window Poll
Kouyate and Creswell on their own made it a better than decent window. If any of the rest come good, then we've had a very good window indeed.

Re: The Transfer Window Poll
Very Happy, we got at least three of them playing well so far, so if we can get another three, be brilliant window.

Re: The Transfer Window Poll
Best transfer window ever Imo, every player we have got in represents an upgrade on the ones that have gone out. Cresswell is better than McCartney, Song is better than Diame etc etc.
Massively pleased with the signings, lets see if Sam can get them playing as a team now.

Re: The Transfer Window Poll
I'm concerned about the cover at centre back, but other than that I'm happy.
