Super Slav's magnificent commentary thread
One of the best I have ever seen. Loved it when he got up on the table after Payet scored!

Hahaha. The presenter, Wright and Karembou all thanked Slaven, they know it's his show really.
Every footballer in the world must be thinking "Who is this magician Payet and his marvellous beguiling manager? I must go to them..."

Re: Super Slav's magnificent commentary thread
I think you may have a point. Why most on the payet thread are worried about him leaving, this is a great ad for West Ham. Who.wouldnt want to play in the team with a world class play maker in one of the biggest stadiums in the PL?Mayday wrote:Hahaha. I could just watch that over and over again. I like the chemistry between Wrighty and Slav. I can see a real bromance developing.

Re: Super Slav's magnificent commentary thread
It was good when they were talking about how Payet hadn't done much until Slaven took him to West Ham and got the best out of him, and Karembeu turned to Slaven and applauded him.
It's amazing really, he's gone from not being able to get into the French team earlier in the season to their star man at the Euros.

Love the way Wrighty was constantly seeking approvement from Slav every time he answered the question. A few times Bilic would just ignore/interrupt him and make a better point to the presenter and a couple of times he'd turn to Wrighty and nod in an agreement in a way a father would do to a child. Great chemistry between them last night.

Really wish I could watch it over here in the States. Even most video clips I see online say "NOT AVAILABLE IN YOUR COUNTRY."

He's certainly strengthened his hand in the upcoming contract talks.
Who could have imagined THE player of the tournament and THE pundit of the tournament would be WHUFC employees ?

Re: Super Slav's magnificent commentary thread
Super Slav, Wrighty and Lothar are a tremendous team. Way, way ahead of Lineker and Shearer.
Re: Super Slav's magnificent commentary thread
He was excellent again tonight. Would give him a big contract asap before vultures start circling. Already got loads of Arsenal fans wanting him as a replacement for Wenger.
Re: Super Slav's magnificent commentary thread
Like the way he used our game vs Man City at the Etihad to explain the half time tactics Coleman would have given Wales. He told our players to press high and not to defend too deep, but it was impossible to carry out the orders as Man City were just so good in possession.

Man City actually moved Yaya 20 yards further forward in that match - he was playing DM on the edge of our D .Whenever one of our players looked up to try and play the ball out all they could see was a man mountain .
Bilic has been great value as a pundit , the ITV team has worked well .

Re: Super Slav's magnificent commentary thread
^^^^^^
It really has. ITV has got thier football coverage 'spot on' for the first time I can ever remember.
All the pundits have been great (possibly not Karembou) but Bilic has been absolutely top drawer, even if he wasn't one of our own. I bet the ITV bosses can't quite believe how good he has been.
The presenter Mark Paugach???? Is also good.
