Re: France v Republic of Ireland
Whoever plays France next round won't have Rami or Kante to contend with.
This makes room for Mangala and Cabaye to deputise.

Payet's not been great to be honest. His poorest 45 in the tournament. Wonder if Real Madrid are watching

Re: France v Republic of Ireland
People don't half talk some ****, Ireland have been very good, closing the French down in midfield, getting men forward when they can, there was one bad foul by Coleman and he fell over when he knew he wasn't getting the ball that he knocked past Evra, other than that the cynical fouls have come from the French. The ref has done a good job.

I'm talking about half the team rolling about on the floor for half the bloody game.nickkarkie wrote:People don't half talk some ****, Ireland have been very good, closing the French down in midfield, getting men forward when they can, there was one bad foul by Coleman and he fell over when he knew he wasn't getting the ball that he knocked past Evra, other than that the cynical fouls have come from the French. And Shane Long looked like he did a bit of a Vardy move for the penalty.
France look rubbish in the main, especially at the back.

Re: France v Republic of Ireland
No it was not a dive, a dive is what Vardy does, sticks his leg out and is already going down, Long put his right root out and Pogba took him down, look at where Pogba ended up, he was nearly over long's head by the time his momentum stopped. He tried winning a ball he could win

The only injury was Hendrick, Pogba kicked him in the thigh, a dead leg can take a few minutes to recover from

Long didn't dive. That was a blatant pen. Pogba just charged through him.

Re: France v Republic of Ireland
Agreed, was completely different to the stunts Vardy pulls. The Irish have done well, they have a plan (I think they would have been the same even at 0-0). The French have been poor, Giroud is as mobile as a tombstonefjthegrey wrote:Long didn't dive. That was a blatant pen. Pogba just charged through him.

One all...lovely goal.
Would love to see Ireland win, but I think that tired legs will kick in.
