Been coming to be fair, it was there for the taking for them as long as they put their shooting boots on.

Think Duffy was at least trying to get the ball. His toes were stretched like a ballet-dancer.

Re: France v Republic of Ireland
Awful defending. Long ball which is simple to defend and then the silly error on the half way line, they deserve to be behind as they have barely tried to come out of their half since half time. You can't play that way

Re: France v Republic of Ireland
Didn't really do Ireland any favours the early goal. Wes Hoolahan on the bench again....

Re: France v Republic of Ireland
Too much midfield quality in this French side for Ireland...and England I suspect.
Re: France v Republic of Ireland
Randolph distraught out there, wanted Payet to go to him and give him a cuddle.

Great game for Randolph; if for any reason Adrian went elsewhere I'd have no qualms about Randy being our number one.

Re: France v Republic of Ireland
Was hoping for Dimi to go over and comfort him but hey. BBC say he made 9 saves and I reckon one of them was truly great. A top drawer performance from what seems to be a decent lad. Will somebody come along and offer 1st team football next season on the back of that?
France have shown real guts to go with their attacking flair. They will have too much for Iceland....

Cracking game. First one that I have really enjoyed.
Randolph was excellent again. Sign him up, Slav. Is he on a free?
And that little French bloke, Pavet or something, he is very good.

Re: France v Republic of Ireland
The Randolph Payet hug brought the first smile to my face since the final whistle.
Gallant effort, which encompassed Ireland's best and worst aspects at the tournament. The red card finished the game, but the alternative would have been an almost certain goal, which would have made it certain.
After Euro 2012 it was hard to enjoy international football, and it took three years to do so. But there is pride restored, and our fans have done us proud again. Bring on the World Cup!!
