Re: France vs. Iceland
Player of the tournament. What a goal. Come on Daves. Get him a striker to play with. Don't get squeamish now.
Edit: easy on the boot kissing Dimi. Not you who should be kissing boots.

Re: France vs. Iceland
4 nil.
I'd like to say England will be squirming at home but they are all probably on holiday getting pissed up.

As an aside and I think we knew this even before that first half but France would have absolutely anihilated us.

Re: France vs. Iceland
Just be thankful we didn't go through. France would have tore us to bits too.
Been a wonderful fairytale for Iceland, but they look tired & France have tactically got this spot on

Re: France vs. Iceland
The biggest difference from England is that France worked out how to play against Iceland and actually defended rather than stand around and watch Iceland score. England are quite capable of playing that (or near that) sort of attacking football when there is no pressure but you have to earn it like France did and they are now getting their reward.

Hoddle saying that we've seen Payet do that all season.
I can't remember him scoring for us with his left foot at all.
Anyone ?

Sorry this isn't remotely right.bobcar wrote:The biggest difference from England is that France worked out how to play against Iceland and actually defended rather than stand around and watch Iceland score. The biggest difference between France and us is that they have far better players and far more of them. And England are not capable of playing attacking football to anywhere near what France are capable of - when it comes to international football we don't have Payet. Or anyone close to the likes of him, Pogba, etc.
Agree with what someone just said though - I think the Germans may have too much nous for France. Be a good game though.

Nice one, good finish 'son'
I'm telling you, France are dodgy at the back, Germany will open them up and Pogba will get booked/sent off, you heard it here first!
