UEFA Euro 2016 Team Of The Tournament .

Post by The Old Man of Storr »

Rui Patricio - Portugal

Joshua Kimmich - Germany

Jerome Boateng - Germany

Pepe - Portugal

Raphael Guerreiro - Portugal

Tony Kroos - Germany

Joe Allen - The Mighty Welsh Dragons

Antonine Griezeman - France

Aaron Ramsey - The Mighty Welsh Dragons

Dimitri Payet - France

Cristiano Ronaldo - Portugal

Hmmm - so UEFA didn't bother looking any further than the EURO 2016 Semi Finalists to choose their ' Team Of The Tournament ' - bit unfair on the likes of Hazard , Nainggolan , Lewandowski etc ? Or was it correct to choose players from the 4 best teams of the tournament ?
Personally I would have had Gareth Bale instead of Ronaldo .

Roy Hodgson must have been on his holidays when we were playing Liverpool and Everton .

Looking at the team/squad/tactics he chose, I'd of said he had a permanent holiday last season 8-)

Hmm....tbf there is no way I would have picked any of the 3 you suggest to be in the team of the tournament. Lewandowski was almost invisible. Boateng blundered. Pepe has had at least one bad game for me. Many mediocre perfomances in a very average tournament.

Lewandowski looked tired and played like poopski.

I agree about their only picking players from semifinalists. Think Bonucci and/or Chiellini should be there.
