Antonio, Ayew, and a chomping at the bit Fletcher should be enough to keep them honest.Adam 'The Smudge' wrote:Nothing up front to highlight their defensive frailties means as usual we'll be on the back foot.
Another pumping I fear.

Is not our Mr Carroll supposed to be fit for this one, play him and Ayew up front, and we might have a chance

They haven't won a home game since September 24th and then good old benevolent West Ham come to town. They must be licking their lips

Mourinho calling them the unluckiest team in the league is clearly an attempt to get a few favours from the refs in upcoming matches.
I just can't see us winning when everything seems to be against us at the moment. We'll either play well and lose narrowly or play badly and lose comfortably.

Ibrahimovic hat-trick and some really crap defending without Reid, if Randolph plays he'll spill one for an easy tap in, this game has got cock up written all over it

2-1 ManU. We'll take a shock lead then capitulate in the last 10 minutes.

This latest defeat and the manner in which we lost is very morale sapping as well as anything else, I hope they can pick thier chins off the floor to put in a performanc against the Mancs.
If we can get anything from this game it is a bonus.

no chance of us picking up points... and that goes for our next few games as well.
Re: Manchester United v West Ham United: Match Thread
We might stand a chance here. And I believe we will turn up. Bilic will make sure of that.
I expect us to score and I also expect them to score. My head says 1-1 I think but if anyone's going to lose it in the dying minutes it will be us. Sakho and Mata. My heart says 3-0 Man U. It's a funny situation when your head is more optimistic than your heart but that's about the size of it at the moment.
-------------------------Randolph (He'd be my number 1 every week)
-------------Kouyate--Collins--Ogbonna
-----Antonio----Lanzini---Obiang----Cresswell
--------------Ayew------------------Payet
----------------------------Sakho
I don't think we should change much from Saturday's game apart from obviously Collins in for Reid. I like the Lanzini/Obiang partnership and would like to see it grow but I think Bilic will have Noble straight back in there.
For most of the spurs game we were fairly comfortable, defended well, held good shape and attacked with conviction when we got the chance. We did well at letting them waste possession for a lot of the match and we could and should do exactly the same with Man U. No mistakes please i.e. no summer signing appearances please.
What West Ham will we see this time?

Why in God's name do I feel so confident we're going to win this?

Me too. They're mediocre. So long as those last few minutes at our North London friends hasn't killed morale we can give them a game.CWM wrote:We might stand a chance here. And I believe we will turn up.

I am feeling a 2-1 win or may be 1-1. We always struggle scoring against lesser teams when we need to break them down. United will be on the front foot which suits our counter attacking strengths...
I have chosen not to factor in our defensive incompetence as I am a hopeless optimist and always will be. COYIs!

I hope the kids Carroll is training with are wearing their best bedroom slippers, playing with a foam ball and at walking pace, I'd hate AC to pick up yet another injury.
Another misleading comment from Gold he'll be back after the international break.
