Re: West Ham United v Arsenal Match Thread
Within a matter of months this great club has been systematically torn apart. We are now a complete laughing stock. West Ham ball boys YES West Ham Ball boys running after oppo' players for selfies. I cannot continue to support the direction that this club is being taken !

Re: West Ham United v Arsenal Match Thread
Never expect to win one game this week, fully expected us to be smashed today (even has a bet on 5-0 Arsenal and I couldn't even win that!)
However this week has thrown on even more questions than we were all previously questioning.
I hate this part as I genuinely love Slav however he clearly doesn't have a preferred starting line up or formation. He stumbled across the 3CB formation and it worked for 1-2 games, since then it has truly hampered our performances, especially going forward. We lack everything we were known for last season.
His substitutions again were bewildering at times. Our midfield non existent with nothing on our bench to patch it up. There was no leader out there at any stage of the game either.
Board, Bilic and players are all at fault for this predictament in and the lack of atmosphere must be playing a part too.
I find Bilic's post match comments amazing. He slated the players regarding their training however surely it's his and the coaching staff's job to NOT allow it to happen.
I genuinely have no idea how we can turn this around as there are SO many issues on so many levels within and around this club.

There's some down on his luck Venezuelan striker playing in some 2nd tier South American league who'll be a very surprised man come the transfer window..........DannyboyDJL wrote: Neither can he. My mate knows friends of his and he said he wasn't expecting a Premier League club to come in for him in the summer.

Re: West Ham United v Arsenal Match Thread
It's not the losing, I've been a hammer over 50 years and I am used to that.
It's not the stadium having never been I can't judge only on the words of others.
it's not having a team of world superstars, what we never have had we don't miss.
What it is , is the total lack of commitment to the historic club, from the top to the bottom, From a board that see only pound signs and personal embellishment, to playing staff who showed they don't give a flying feck.
The lack of commitment pervades through the entire club, why should they care when the powers that be set them up as fall guys for everything that has gone wrong.
All I wanted to see today was the players give it 100% win lose or draw, but so much for aspirations, To those of you who have spent thousands of pounds following the club home away abroad, I doff my hat. If only the players were as committed as you then the club would be in a far better place,
Whether Slaven stays or goes, this lack of ambition/commitment at the top has to stop. it's easy to say we are going to do this that and the other, instead why not do the basics,
it was obvious today there was little guidance from Slaven or from Noble both need now to look at their role and if draw from it,

I feel the same. Zero association with these players. Started the season unfit and disorganised....now an utter disgraceful shambles. Feels horrible to basically dislike everything about the club.
I'm afraid Billic needs to get out. He is a decent man and very intelligent. But this awful lot probably need a hard man in charge to get them going.
Henry scouted these players. He has a good track record. Just so happens they are arse holes and not receptive to a man like Billic.

Faubert's Boot wrote:Some of our fans exhibit disgusting behaviour, it's all of this older lot as well. People starting fights cos it's a bit busy on the dlr and they don't wanna get touched. ****ing pathetic. People fighting in the stadium cos they couldn't see arsenal score, ****ing 40+ year old men who go off the rails at the slightest little thing. Utter disgrace.
Never seen so 40+ year olds with raging personality disorders in my life.
That's what 40+ years following our club can do to you - there should be a health warning

You have to laugh at those people thinking they are football stars and not one of them showing anything since Sam left. Better off renaming the team Stratford Rovers and keeping The Hammers history intact.

Highlights:
Pie and mash at Kelly's down the Roman followed by several pints in The Albert.
Seeing our very own Romford castigating the replacement of pop up bars with Betway betting booths
That's about it.
Poor performance all round. There's something seriously wrong with our club.

Re: West Ham United v Arsenal Match Thread
Firstly let's take a step back. We have had a terrible run of injuries, not played with a settled team at all. If we had started today with a fully fit Sakho, Carroll, Kouyate, Cresswell, Antonio and Ayew then things might have been different and we might have given Arsenal a bit more of a game.
What this does do is tell us how bad our summer dealings were....we had a massive opportunity to buy and blew it....Bilic or the boards fault or both?
However there are some things unacceptable ... no passion or fire in the belly from too many - sloppy passing and zero confidence. Noble has gone, did he do anything right today?
We are in a relegation battle for sure... the club is in a mess...and I don't think it's anything to do with the stadium, that's an excuse
One other big point...,.didnt hear bubbles sung during the game once......

Forgot to add that Platform 10 at Stratford was a bit lively. BTP even admitted that Greater Anglia were out of their depth.
Re: West Ham United v Arsenal Match Thread
An Arsenal player said after the game......
"We used to dread coming to Upton Park it was daunting you had to be right on your game to win there, but here, we loved it, it's like playing at home, big pitch, not very hostile, didn't even need to play that well"
The old West Ham has gone and if this lot don't invest properly in making a new West Ham for for this stadium then I'm afraid we're f****d

Re: West Ham United v Arsenal Match Thread
Haven't beaten them at home in about a decade, this isn't about the stadium. It's a bit of grass with the same people watching, it's about chronic under investment from the board as usual.Jinxed wrote:An Arsenal player said after the game......
