Other than that freak result against City, for which Pep must take some blame, they've been awful before and after. Have to go looking for 3 points here

They are on a terrible run of form and we have won three on the trot.
1-0 loss.
1-0 loss.

Re: Leicester City vs West Ham United: Match Thread
All of a sudden the pressure is on Leicester and after that win we can play with more confidence and less pressure. I'd maybe rotate the middle of midfield, bringing Fernandes and Obiang (if fit) back in for Noble and Kouyate seeing as there's another game two days later. Keep it as fresh as possible but this lot look very poor at the moment and we can very well make it 4 in a row.
2-0, Carroll and Ayew
2-0, Carroll and Ayew

Re: Leicester City vs West Ham United: Match Thread
Two clubs with near identical goals scored and against records - each from 18 games with an average of three goals in each game that both clubs participate in..
Last four head to heads have produced at least three goals per game.
We are now the league's 5th highest scorers away from home (and look at who we have played) and they have conceded at least two in their last four home games, and in eight of their last ten fixtures in all competitions.
Got to think that >2.5 goals, and both sides to score are good bets.

Would take a point to be honest. But we must go there with no fear.

Get Obiang back in, and maybe give Carroll a rest before Man U
I know we don't have a massive squad but we should use it to avoid costly injuries in this spell

Big call for Slav about bringing back Obiang and also the 3 system at the back.
I would prefer the 4-2-3-1 that works much better going forward as Carroll has more support as is not just winning balls that go to the opposition.
I think Slav will keep same 11 in it's hard to drop anyone after winning 4-1 away..suddenly the bench looks better too.
I'd go :
-----------------------Randolph
Norveit-------Reid------Ogbonna--------Cresswell
------------------Kouyate------Noble-------------
Antonio-----------Ayew----------------Payet
----------------Carroll-------------------
Subs: Adrian, Obiang, Fletcher, Fegouili, Lanzini

I'll go for another 2-2 draw (although hopefully we'll be the ones to get the last-minute equaliser this year!)

The father-in-law is Leicester, and after his endless gloating over the summer, I would absolutely love it, Keegan-style, if we were to do a number on them.

To be fair if we did what they did last year we would ALL be gloating like f***.DasNutNock wrote:The father-in-law is Leicester, and after his endless gloating over the summer, I would absolutely love it, Keegan-style, if we were to do a number on them.

Switch Obiang and Noble and that is the team. We have 4 games from December 26-January 6. Go ahead and give him a break.ageing hammer wrote:Big call for Slav about bringing back Obiang and also the 3 system at the back.

Absolutely we would, although I'll be surprised if I ever get to find out for real

For me.
.................................Randolph...............................
..Nordtveit............Reid...........Ogbonna.........Cresswell
...........................Kouyate..........Obiang..................
..Ayew..........................Lanzini................... Payet........
....................................Antonio.......................................
Strong, powerfull, middle of the park combined with players good in possession and good counter attacking threat with Payet, Ayew and Antonio.

Noble played a part in our opening goal and I'm fairly sure he played a part in two of the others as well, we should not be dropping him.
Saying that, Kouyate, Obiang and Noble, tricky choice.

Re: Leicester City vs West Ham United: Match Thread
I hated them in the 2-2 draw last season as they were an absolute bunch of dirty and cheating C U Next Tuesdays, but I loved what they did, in winning the league, and how they did it, make no mistake, it is the biggest shock in sporting history.
It's over now though, back to reality, the team that finished 10th bought their key player, which further backs up why it was the biggest shock in sporting history, Vardy has been sussed out, to a certain degree, Mahrez isn't as effective without Kante in there and refs have gotten tougher.
I'd love nothing more than to see Carroll smash their boys at the back around, I get the feeling that if Huth tries to pull any of that **** with Big Andy our bearded barbarian will shove that pistol up his ass and pull the trigger until it goes click.
Three points, get at them, out fight them, out football them, show them who's heading up the table and who is going back to being their **** selves, I don't like Kasabian that much anyway.
3-1 West Ham, Carroll brace and one from Payet. Everton, Southampton, West Brom, look over your shoulders, we've brushed ourselves down, we've bitten down on out gumshields and we're coming for you

Re: Leicester City vs West Ham United: Match Thread
I actually cannot see us losing this one. Leicester are awful and in danger of being only the 3rd Champions to get relegated the following season. 2-1 to us.
