First home game in the new stadium I'm missing. Being "forced" to fly to Amsterdam in a large group of friends for a birthday weekend.

God help us!

Normally there is no way that I miss the FA Cup 3rd round, this year I'll be in Gran Canaria and am not bothered about missing it. Lack of investment in the squad and crap match day experience killing my enjoyment.

I'm not too sure, he looked really irked in his press conference yesterday and with the title nearly out of reach will probably want to go all out for this competition. I'm expecting a very strong team from them personally.

"reserves" and "very strong team" are not mutually exclusive for man €ity.

play like we did yesterday and we can get a result (if the playing field is level).

No Kouyate or Feghouli so If Noble is recovered I reckon Slav picks:

--------------------Randolph

Nordveidt------Reid-----Ogbonna---------Cresswell

---------Obiang------Lanzini-------Noble-

----Antonio----------Carroll---------------Payet

That looks about right. Kouyate will be a big miss. He's what we need to unsettle Yaya. I would have been happy with Fernandes instead of Noble because he offers more movement but I can see that Slaven will want a bit of solidity in the middle. We have to do what Liverpool did and press them high for the first half and hope that our attacking players can disrupt them. If we sit back they will pass us to death. Big night for Payet. He's always worth having on the pitch because he's still a class above everyone else, but we can't afford another night of him giving the ball away against this lot. Even if they put out an 'under-strength' side.

West Ham United (First Team) v Manchester City FC (First Team)
FA Cup
Referee: Oliver, Michael
Assistant Referee: Child, Steve
Assistant Referee: Hatzidakis, Constantine
Fourth Official: Swarbrick, Neil

Good ref (kiss of death) although does seem to favour the bigger team when doing a top v lesser team

Unfortunately now, every game against the Sky 6 I am just expecting more of the same from last night. Probably a disallowed goal for us and a crap penalty for them

Was over for the league game last January against City at Upton Park when Payet was on fire. Heading over for my first trip to the Olympic Stadium on Friday hoping for the best.

Third defeat on the bounce and some terrible refereeing, Aguero will be involved in some controversy, and he'll score.

1-3 :thdn:

same lineup except fernandes or noble in for kouyate, who's off to darkest africa.

feghouli's card should be overturned by then. pick up where we left off.
