West Ham United 3-0 Crystal Palace (14/01/17)
Time to bounce back with a big three points against Big Sam's boys.
Conventional set up for me:
Nordy (or new RB ) Reid Oggy and Cresswell
------------------------------obiang Noble
------Antonio--------------- Lanzini ----------------------------Payet
----------------------Caroll-------------
COYI
Keeper to be Randolph.

Re: West Ham United V Crystal Palace: Match thread
If we get a new RB, Nordveidt has to shift into CB with Reid. Ogbonna looks like a pissed toddler half the time.
I'd also like to see Obiang/Fernandes develop a partnership in CM. Despite tonight, they've got the potential to be a top combo in the centre of the park.

I know it seems pointless at times but I think going without a keeper would be a bit drastic.

Same old, same old that is failing us every week. Don't know who I would play, will . have to think about it, but I think I would drop at least half of that lot

We are going to get fat sammed. They will be kicking and running into space. Palace will be singing rugby songs. It's gonna be awful.

Re: West Ham United V Crystal Palace: Match thread
been promising to take my old mum to this one but wasn't sure if i could get two tickets together in a decent spot.
don't think i'll be having too much trouble now.
i keep warning her that how **** it is and that it's nothing like the boleyn. she's a proper pie and mash romanticist and i don't know if even her relentless optimism can stand up to the soul crushing corporate void which is the new matchday experience.
still, anyone got two going in a decent spot?

Zaha deciding he's no longer English gives us more of a chance, as could this Benteke injury, if it keeps him out.

Re: West Ham United V Crystal Palace: Match thread
After tonight's display:
.................Randolph
........Oxford Reid Ogbonna*
..............Noble Obiang
Antonio.......Lanzini........Cresswell
....................Payet
...................Carroll
*unless Collins is back fit now?
And for gods sake, we must revert back to 3 at the back (361), as a flat four doesn't do us many favours and most of our best run of results/performances this season have come from playing this way. As we don't currently have a right back at time of writing we can't rely on donkies such as Nordtveit all the time as he's way out of his depth week in, week out.

Re: West Ham United V Crystal Palace: Match thread
I think considering that it's Sam Allardyce, this game has the potential to be the worst and most problematic for the stadium since we moved there, especially if we lose. This might very well be the game that people flip in terms of anger towards the board, anger towards the stewards, anger toward everything. Should be fun :raver:

Nordtveidt/Byram --Reid--Oxford--Cresswell These to stay disciplined/solid and play as a back four
----------------Obiang To be disciplined and protect the back four
Antonio Quina Lanzini Payet Interchangeable and fluid
--------------Martinez------------Lets see what he can do
Cant keep playing same old an getting nowhere.

Lose this and there'll be uproar.
You never know we might have signed an actual RB by then (yeah right).
