Watford 1-1 West Ham Utd (25/02/17)
Feeling pretty gutted right now, but very confident for the Watford game.
Carroll and Ayew back, giving us a far greater attacking edge.
Cresswell fitter and Byram back, giving us two proper full backs.
Not sure what to do with midfield if Byram starts, but a nice problem to have. Obiang and Koyoute should be the most solid pairing we have had in ages.
Would anyone bench Noble?
Randy
Byram Fonte Reid Cress
Koyoute Obiang
Antonio Lanzini Snodders
Carroll.
Onwards and upwards. Plenty of away points before the end of the season.

Even the greatest Noble haters can't seriously consider not playing him after his performance this afternoon... He was on everything from where I was sitting.

Working in a factory full of Twotford fans, all I can say is we'd better ****ing win this one or I'll have to take early retirement

Agree about Noble, ran things from the middle of the park with Obiang today. They seem a better pair than Noble and Kouyate on current evidence.

Randolph has let himself down of late. But do we bring back in Adrian who looks like leaving in the summer?
I'd drop Feghouli. Hopefully Carroll is back.

Adrian, Kouyate, Reid, Fonte, Cresswell, Obiang, Noble, Lanzini, Antonio, Snodgrass and Carroll
That's our best probable available XI
Sort them into what ever formation works best

Where possible, I'd like to see players in their correct/best positions for this one. Antonio is a winger. So is Snodgrass. So is feghouli. Cant play 3 wingers so drop one of them. Lanzini is a central attacking midfielder. Carroll, Fletcher, and Calleri are strikers. If carroll is injured then play one of the other two.

Where does Andre 'I think I'll have a couple of weeks off after my strenuous efforts this season and at the AFCON' Ayew fit in to all of this - winger? striker? surely he's a better bet than Calleri?

Re: Watford v West Ham Utd match thread
It doesn't worry me that Adrian is leaving in the summer. His early season form however was worse than Randolph's right now. He flapped at everything, was making god awful decisions and just generally made me **** myself every time the ball went near him. Randolph needs to be more confident. Instead of always taking the safe option he should come out more and take a chance instead of sitting back and hoping for a poor shot. Adrian was the complete opposite. Always had to come when quite often he had no business doing so. The fact is we have 2 backup keepers, Randolph being slightly the better of the twoHammerMan2004 wrote:Randolph has let himself down of late. .
I reckon we'll beat Watford

I think Ayew should be better than Calleri but unfortunately he hasnt really shown much so far. In terms of performances for us, there's probably not a lot between them. Then again, neither have really had an opportunity to settle into the team. In terms of his position... I personally see him as a second striker. A number 10 type.

Re: Watford v West Ham Utd match thread
Sh*t I knew I forgot someone! see this is the problem now IF Carroll is fit for Watford. Who do we drop? As Snodgrass, Lanzini and Feghouli don't deserve to be dropped. Antonio didn't have his best games yesterday. But he's not a striker. But at the same time, he has a good knack with chipping in with some goals. Away from home I guess we need to sacrifice one of: Snodgrass, Antonio, Lanzini, Feghouli. The question is who? Thank god I haven't got to make that decision!thejackhammer wrote:Snodgrass?

Think I agree with that although if I were Watford I'd target the RB position. It must be a worse secret than Prince Harry's parentage that we ain't got one.MD_HM wrote:Adrian, Kouyate, Reid, Fonte, Cresswell, Obiang, Noble, Lanzini, Antonio, Snodgrass and Carroll

I presume Ayew's on the bench?
One of the best walks to an away ground in my opinion. Something surreal about it.

You mean Harry Hewitt ? 2-1 to WHU. And a small measure of revenge for the early season shambles.

Strangely I don't feel confident about this one.
Can see us having a bad office day like last time we visited.

We always look much more fluent when Antonio is nowhere near the midfield. Put him at wing back, right back or alongside Carroll. Just not in midfield.

We have to compete physically with this mob as a basic. We've lost two of three against them because we didn't.
