My 5 year old is obsessed with dinosaurs - T-Rex especially. Seeing the look on his face, being hugged and then him telling me I'm awesome when I showed him a picture of the bus I had this afternoon put a huge smile on my face after a busy day.
He's told me a must have 'The T-Rex Bus' every day.

Looking through job applications.
They shouldn't make me smile, but some are just so stupid it's hilarious.
One chap (bearing in mind the CS ensure anonymity in applications) decided that he would put his LinkedIn URL for every answer. Well done Luca

Re: Little things in life that make you smile
I'm off to the Emerald Isle for a while tomorrow, so tonight I decided to throw all of the food I had in the fridge that would go off whilst I am away, into a pot, add a few spices plus a few peas and sweetcorn, and then stick it in the oven and see what happens. Then serve it up with Red rice into which was added roast red peppers and courgettes.
I was cooking for a few people and I have just received the comments "11/10", "Can I take any leftovers for dinner tomorrow", "Exceptional cooking" and "That's one of the best things you have ever cooked."
I have a big grin on my face right now.

Re: Little things in life that make you smile
Going to Kerry airport for the flight home and getting to security only to realise I have a pint of soy milk in my hand luggage. I declared it and was just about expecting a string of sarky and over officious comments from the female custom officer before it was confiscated and thrown in the bin, but instead she said, "This must be for heath reasons, mustn't it sir?" I nodded and she passed it through, it was tested and handed to me at the other side.
I could then enjoy milky tea, during my 2 hour wait for a plane in what must be one of the most tiniest airports in the world.
Well played madam customs officer, well played!

That's hardly a "little thing in life". This thread isn't for people like you.somerset-hammer wrote:Getting the all clear, after a recent MRI scan!

Maybe I could've worked in into the Celebrity TV Rhyming thread.
You've got the all clear from Richard Gere
