Arsenal 3-0 West Ham Utd (05/04/17)

Post by bowltorious »

Emirates, Wednesday 5th April, 19:45 ko.

Need to move on swiftly from yesterday as frustrating as it is. Arsenal are on a bad run themselves and also seem to have a bit of unrest amongst the camp, can we take advantage? I would wager not. Really hope Antonio is back for this because we need him, also would of rested Noble until Swansea but looks like we need him to step back in also.

----------------------Adrian
Byram-----Kouyate----Fonte----Masuaku
-----------------Noble----Fernandez
Ayew--------------Lanzini----------Antonio
----------------------Carroll

Don't think we will have enough against these as our weaknesses compliment their strengths. 3-1 Arsenal sadly for me. As ever though, COYI's! Surprise us.

A win here would send Arsenal fans into retirement, we should play on that. They'll approach this expecting to win with a crowd wanting to be winning after the first minute against a team with 4 consecutive defeats

Think we'll take a point

Sorry to be so negative, but hard as I try, I absolutely cannot see anything other than another defeat with at least 3 goals conceded. The pressure will really be on for the Swansea game.

One of the few teams under more pressure than us ... hope they lose today against City then their season will be over .... fans will be baying for Arsene's blood .... and with luck the players just won't turn up on Wednesday ....

If we get after them we can win this .... sure we will need three goals as usual ... but three against Arsenal at the moment very achievable .....

Every game I chuck a fiver on us winning 3-1... won twice this season which is more than normal.

For this game I'll admit that whilst I've placed that bet... I've also but another fiver on 3-1 the other way.

The resistible force meets the moveable object. Sadly, arsenal can't buy a win at the moment, which means only one thing.

Exactly this. Any team, anywhere, that's going through a hard time. Who's up next ( after City) ? Why it's West Ham ! Yipee ! :raver:

Really looking forward to this game. There's no better feeling than going to one of your London rivals and getting your pants pulled down after losing 4 on the spin.

Would bite your hand off for that TOMoS! Despite feeling dejected after yesterday's pants performance I still think we're capable of something when the pressure is off. A 1-1 with boos ringing round the Emirates would be cracking!

Get Nord in midfield, be as solid as possible and try not to get battered. 2 winnable games after this.

If we go the next 3 without a win we're right in the sh*t

Is Antonio back?

We will get strapped...

I would be surprised if we get away with anything less than a 4 goal defeat.

We'll take a spanking off the worst side in the top 6 as we have no bottle at the moment, Wenger will get a 2 year extension on his contract and the Library will explode in negativity

Messrs Pullis and Allardyce achieved great results yesterday, away against superior opposition, with the sort of possession percentage figures that we are going to get in this game.
So a good result is possible, but do you really think all our players will work as hard for us, Bilic & the badge as the Palace and WBA guys did.
Pullis (1 shot on target) did what Sam did to Mourinho (19th century football).
The only plus that I can see is the extra day we have to prepare.
I can only see a loss as we cannot defend and will not create enough chances to get anything out of the game.
Prove me wrong West Ham work hard, track back to help out the full backs, tackle hard, throw yourself into blocking shots, defend corners and set pieces properly, cut out the errors and on the few times we have the ball attack with a touch of flair.
Do this and, even if we lose it will set us on the right track for the last seven.

Well keep it tight for a while, they'll score and it will be curtains for our depleted squad thus sucking more confidence and life out of us and we'll go into a six pointer against Swansea, in the Athletics Stadium, nervous wrecks.
