If we had close to someone like Lukaku he'd have scored a bundle in games like Swansea, Both Leicester games, Bournemouth, Sunderland, and all the other games where we somehow manage to not score.mushy wrote: Only works if you get the service mate.

Cant see anything other than a comfortable away win. Of course Lukaku will score at least one. We'll score but just the one.1-3 to the toffee men.

I have a bad feeling about this one.
Everton are a top solid team now they have a quality manager in Koeman.
Can only see a Everton win, 2 - 4 Lukaku will run riot.

Re: West Ham United v Everton Match thread
Even if Lukaku is having a 'mare, at some point there will be a pinball moment in our box and the ball will
drop to him, 2 yards out.
Everton could put Lukaku in goal and he would still score.

Got to get a point. This week or next week. Set up solid and defend well. I'd love a 0-0.
Adrian must play. Randolph is a liability.
Switch Masuaku right.
Drop Fonte for Reid.
Adrian
Masuaku - Reid - Collins - Cresswell
Nordveidt - Kouyate
Snodgrass - Lanzini - Ayew
Carroll
I don't think that's a bad team.

The annoying thing is they'll rock up at our place, play more kids than us, start more kids than we will English players, and probably wipe the floor with us.comebackjoecole wrote:It seems to me we always lose to Everton, especially at home. Might as well play some youngsters, and rest some.

Re: West Ham United v Everton Match thread
so sakho is back again. He has played 2 games all season and I doubt he will start against this lot. If he does I doubt he will last long.
would like adrian to play but no doubt randolph in goal. Whoever wears the shirt gets my support but it is hard with him. However, I dont think booing him does us any favours so I hope we cheer him on to the best performance of his life and we grab a 1-0 win.
Would play nordsvelt in as a DM his preferred position. If he doesnt make the team now when we are so short then he never will !
Randolph
fernandez reid collins masuaka
kouyate nordsvelt
fegouli lanzini ayew
carroll
subs adrian cresswell fonte rice quinna fletcher sakho snodgrass
Maybe we will get lucky.

I do like the look of Tom Davies there, seems to be able to spray the ball about well and make a tackle. Few other youngsters looking decent for them too

Re: West Ham United v Everton Match thread
They have a good youth set up for sure.
Our youngsters dont get much of a look in so far.
we have oxford, cullen, burke, quinna, fletcher, fernandez, quinna, rice, martinez.
The only one who ha moved forward is fernandez and we paid a 6m fee for him in the summer.
Fletcher again with a 1m fee this summer has shown a few glimpses of potential
Oxford has a few matches last season but since being done by lakaku, who isnt, has been on loan where his progress is slow.
cullen and burke seem to perform well on loan as did matinez originally
quinna and rice have been added to first team squad but no game time.
so from our youth set up not a lot of success. Another thing we should be looking to improve upon. Everton both spend big and promote kids. They are the model we should be following. They also have a decent manager now. He is a couple of levels up from bilic.
