Anything goes in The Snug, General Discussion's rebellious little brother. An off-topic den of iniquity where any subject not covered elsewhere may be discussed. Well, anything except golf, Star Wars and Arsenal.

This is a (very) little thing that irritates me - we re-invent the wheel?
It was only ever electrical tape one of the sparkies swiped from work that went around our dressing room before a game. Was a b***tard to remove but did the job.

Something gets caught in bootlace, probable issue with it pulling against your muscle. No give in the bootlace at all so not good for circulation either.
Tape, no issues. It snaps when strained and has a little give.
I don't wear it myself. I'm a low rider, like Grealish or Rui Costa. Socks as low as.

People who get on trains before everyone gets off, utter , utter cretins, should be banned from public transport for a week until they learn some manners
This. There is a special place in hell reserved for those that get on trains before everyone has got off.

The army lets you know if you can use your final rank as a courtesy title or not. It's normally majors and above although some cavalry regiments allow captains to do it too ...... because they're special.
Retired officers , usually piss stinking and self important old dinocunts still determined to make peoples lives a misery after leaving the armed forces.
The gormless wonderfucks simply can't comprehend that (Retd) actually means civilian, so it's worth reminding them of that little fact at every opportunity.........
People talking about something in their area of expertise and using the phrase 'of course' in a passive aggressive attempt at superiority.
'Ben Ponce played the triangle on Astral Weeks and, of course, twenty years later was the recording engineer for Sturm and the Drang's seminal second album.'
'Picard said that the only remaining plurillium reserves were in the Corlin system but, of course, the Luparts gave Riker a gift of a plurilium mine and, of course, they're ten quadrants away from Corlin.'
