The guy must have compromising photos of a major Hollywood player.
Just ruins every film he's in .

Cloud eggs.
Apparently you separate the yolk and white, whip up the white and bake it for a few minutes with a dip in it, then add the yolk into the dip and bake for a few minutes before posting a picture to your Instagram page.

Losing my b*stard work phone. Especially annoying since everyone knows I went to a Napalm Death gig last night and was on the pop.

Why am I seeing adverts for Spurs shirts on the right of my screen?

I like hard metal music, especially live. And 30+ years of them touring has made them a solid live act. Plus, the Electric Ballroom is my favourite venue in town.
That's why.
In addition to losing my phone, my ****ing broadband went offline for 6 hours yesterday and the man reading the support flowchart on the phone told me an engineer wouldn't be available until Wednesday. Came back online in the evening, but that was a horrible, horrible time.

UPDATE
The phone is back in my possession through a combination of unbelievable luck and the kindness of strangers. Genuinely staggered to have it back. My faith in humanity and fortune is boosted significantly.

There are some very decent people out there you know. The amount of top range smartphones, wallets full of cash and the like that get handed in at work is actually very refreshing.sendô wrote:It was a really **** phone not worth nicking, wasn't it?

Re: Little things that irritate you
Bizarrely, a couple weeks ago, I spent half an hour in the morning trying to get a phone I'd found on the road near my office back to someone. Managed to call a contact on the handset, and had an odd conversation with an Eastern European, and left the handset with a petrol station for them to collect.
I'm sure if it hadn't been for that, I'd still be phoneless. Karma and all that nonsense.
And yes, it's a 5S, hardly a range-topper these days, but I'm still flabbergasted to have it back - especially since it's a work phone. I'd left it in a cab on friday night, someone had used the same cab the following night, and spilled her handbag on the back seat. When she dug down the back of the seat, she found my phone and posted a photo of the handset on Facebook. There's a photo of my kid on the wallpaper, and she captioned it "does anyone know this girl, I think this must be her dad's phone". Sure enough, one of my daughter's friend's mums at school, who barely knows the woman who found my phone, clocked the picture and called my wife on sunday.
The odds on that all happening were very slim I'd say, especially given that there was only 1% battery left when she posted the photo of it.
TBH, there's no value in the phone, but this does mean that I don't have to look like a phone-losing tw*t at work today.

Hmm, I always ignore those "please share" things on fb. You never know the motive behind the person posting it, and I guess I'm experienced enough to think the worst in people, rightly or wrongly.

Awful cliche, but my faith in humanity genuinely has been boosted.sendô wrote:Hmm, I always ignore those "please share" things on fb. You never know the motive behind the person posting it, and I guess I'm experienced enough to think the worst in people, rightly or wrongly.

I understand that, but I suspect there may be one or two heads being scratched on reading that.fmgod wrote:Carnage in work trying to fix SMBV1 and then someone looping the cables at the same time and spanning tree not working

In other words some bloke tapped on your car window while you were stopped at the lights and pointed out that you had left your phone on the car roof.DasNutNock wrote:UPDATE

Dont worry, I have also done this.

I'm just glad I'm not being mocked for losing my phone AND yesterday's result.

Left my laptop on a plane on Saturday. Only had it a couple of weeks.
It's never coming back, is it?
