Little things that irritate you

Anything goes in The Snug, General Discussion's rebellious little brother. An off-topic den of iniquity where any subject not covered elsewhere may be discussed. Well, anything except golf, Star Wars and Arsenal.

I am no networks expert by a long long shot , thought that SMBV1 was outdated now, Is that not what the WannaCry worm used to exploit the NHS systems?

A quick config change taking 6 hours and counting due to the incompetence of our network and security teams who operate completely independently.

Everyday hyperbole.

"Our holiday in marbella was absolutely amazing" - what amazed you about it?

"The food was absolutely incredible" - what part of the food made it difficult for you to believe?

"The hotel was totally and utterly out of this world" - yeah we get it.

Not a jealousy thing, just annoys me.

"I met this amazing guy..." nah, you didn't! You met some normal bloke that you fancy.

Excessive use of the word passionate to describe keen interest. Person X is "passionate" about providing xyz service. Yawn...

I will be 50 next year and TV seems as if it is mocking me. Every other advert seems to be for some over 50 life insurance plan.

That sentence really gives the real meaning away though .... they know nothing about xyz!! Those applications go straight to file b1N.
