played Dibden golf course

hit 44 points I think it was..

highlight was the last tough hold.. dog leg left with a green up top of a hill.. hit it into the trees on the right

put a 7 iron to within 10 foot on the green

put the birdie put just past the hole by half a foot.. so par finish
Good going mumbles!

Decent score that.

there was this down hill par 4 , 296.. hit driver to land and roll to 30 yards short of the green, my mate then borrowed my driver and hit same shot just landed 20 yards short lol he wanted to keep the driver I told him where to go

net 62 yesterday on a par 70 thats SSS was 67 so was very happy

Went round in 79 today (par is 69), but that included two double bogeys and a three putt :(

After my screed on bunkers the other day I must confess I went in two today, one greenside stiffed to two feet for a sand save and one fairway, 93 yard PW cutting the dogleg and onto the green Image

I've been working on swinging smooth and easy and it paid off a lot today. There's still the demon insisting "If swinging with no effort hits it that far, just help it along its way a bit", but we all know that's the way to madness. Feeling the weight of the clubhead on both backswing and downswing all the way through the ball is what works for me.

Played Canons Brook on Saturday afternoon, Mad Dogs & Englishmen etc.

1st time I'd played there for a couple of years and they've cut down a few trees, notably on the 1st and 18th which makes both holes slightly easier in that you can see more of the approach to the greens.

Played OK but struggled with the Driver due to 'sweaty palm syndrome'. 28 points mainly down to an improvement in my short game around the greens which were nice and fast.

Society day at Girton near Cambridge on Wednesday, better than going to work (hopefully).

^^^^^ That's the truth. No matter how badly you're playing, there are a million people who'd gladly swap places with you.

I haven't played there for a couple of years as well... the 18th is(was) a rediculous hole... shortish par 5, but because of the poxy trees it is such a frustrating hole, as if you hit a perfect drive you'd still have no chance of getting on in 2.

Scored 29 points off 11 on Wednesday in Society Day at Girton, Cambs. Thankfully it was a flat course on the hottest day of the year. Short game was much better than of late but too wayward off the tee on occasions with the big stick. Played the 5 par 3 s in +1 so maybe need to play percentages off the tee rather than 'grip it and rip it'. And it was definitely more enjoyable than working !!!

played Maylands at the weekend

shot a round of 90 - 34 points - nice birdie on the 8th
20 points front 9
14 back _ wheels came off a bit on the back 9 and got a blob - at 1 point was looking like it would be blob free which would have made me even happier

totally unexpected as i have been playing terribly recently - mate was over from OZ and hes been giving it the biggun so it was nice to beat him by 16 points 8-)

Had a strange round today. I'm working on a major swing change and it was the first time I used it in anger. Things didn't start too well and I went out in 51, made a slight change and did the back nine in 38.

Only 32 putts too :D

Booked myself a course of lessons with the pro I enjoyed working with last year before work got completely in the way!

Looking forward to reducing some of my inconsistencies!

Watching the highlights of the Scottish Open on the Beeb, Shinkwin on a 176 yd par 3 carried a pitching wedge a yard past the pin.

How? Just how do they do it?

played first Society event since daughter was born today

32 points...

chipping lesson paid off

most of my game seemed decent just a few stupid mistakes

we run a leader board based on the best scores.. I currently sit in 12th out of 30 members

126 points , got one more event to push for the best finish I can

top 10 (plus 2 wild cards) play in the captains cup event

at the moment I make it as 2 people are away so it would drop down to me.. so hopefully will make it.. was a wild card pick 2 years ago

my worst score to drop though is a 31 so gonna be some hard hard work to improve on that
