Alas, it would appear so. Murray is in meltdown right now.

Double break, he can't serve, he can't return serve. He hasn't made a fuss to be fair. The end is coming

Well play to Sam he's a good player he's beaten both the reigning champs at Wimbledon the past two years!

As for Murray it'll be interesting to see how he responds he's now 30, (Yes Federrer is still going strong at 35 but he's a different class), might not see many more Slam finals from him from now onwards!

I'm gonna go for Federer now to win, be quite a story for him to add one more Wimbledon!

Federer has looked the likeliest winner of this tournament right from the off. He is in a rich vein of form and only Murray playing at the level he was at last year could give him a battle. Unfortunately for Murray he has been nowhere near that level all year. Murray needs some time off - it worked for Federer. At no stage over the last week and a half did Murray look like he could win this. He looked like he was improving round by round but he never looked like he had the confidence in his own ability to go the distance. Fair play to Querry he was 2 -1 down in sets and then at the first sign of fatigue/injury/or whatever the issue was with Murray, he grabbed the opportunity with both hands and from early on in the 4th set the writing was on the wall for Murray.

Yep, completely agree, I was spared watching todays match by work but even on the radio it sounded like a struggle . When he capitulated in the 2nd set having been in front with a break I wondered if he knew he had n't got 5 sets in him and the pressure to try and win in 3 got to him.

Murray has to take time out, he's not been right all year, perhaps he's peaked and it's as good as over for him, I hope not, but he has to play less tournaments.

I don't get this smug Federer stuff, whenever I've seen him interviewed he seems 100% respectful of everyone, and he appears to be liked by all his fellow pros, maybe it's because he seems so in control of himself when playing.

Konta in trouble set and a break down. She's not done too much wrong but Williams experience telling at the crucial moments.

For me it's those bits of hair sticking over his headband, I imagine him spending ages in the mirror arranging them, just so.......a little tug here and a tease there. They always look the same,,,, not normal,
Then there's all that gold trimmed clobber he wore a year or so back, all prancing about ..., just wrongness!

Call me irrational..I care not :P

Cilic having some sort of breakdown or panic attack or something. In fairness I would break down in tears at having to play Roger Federer in this sort of form.

EDIT: Foot injury to Cilic. Second set to Federer.

When Cilic had that 'meltdown' I wondered briefly if he was going to make it back on court.

He's playing much better now. Too little too late though? I want Fed to win but it would be nice to see Marin make a match of it.

Yes, Cilic seems to have 'settled' to the task. I'm no fan of Federer but he is a wonderful player and the greatest of the lot, and based on that another title would be fitting.
I was going to say a fitting end to his career but he's playing too well to consider retirement?

Smug? I'd say he keeps a pretty straight face given that he's the undisputed greatest of all time.

No way is Fed retiring when he's still playing like this. Could well pick up the US, which would be 3 out of 4 for the year - utterly astonishing for a 35 year old. I read earlier that Feder has never retired in a tennis match. Insane.

He doesn't even give up on a set let alone a match.
