Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather
Whats your opinion on this?
Should they fight?
Will you watch it?
I am not sure about it as it all seems a bit of a circus. I also think that it would be very bad for boxing if McGregor won.

Re: Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather
If Mayweather can survive against all the big hitters he has faced he should be able to do the same against McGregor.
McGregor won't have the boxing skills needed to beat Mayweather.
He does have a punchers chance but Mayweather has the best defence of all boxers in his weight.
I would think Mayweather will win on unanimous decision.
All imo of course

The whole thing is an unedifying freak show. Boxing died as a mainline sport years ago and rubbish like this is the final nail in the coffin. I won't be watching.

Is the correct answer. Just shows the sad state of professional boxing.Coops wrote:

I cant get this out of my head every time I hear this fight mentioned-

If anyone with an IQ in double figures was expected to watch this drivel, the two of them wouldn't, be parading around on Sky every morning trash talking like a pair of 9 year olds.

Pretty much sums up my thoughts so far. A money making freak show. But I do hope Mayweather just jabs his head off, any other result would be a disaster for boxing.

The whole press conference tour is proper cringey. Not paying a penny to watch the fight.

I'm fed up of it already. It's a joke and the multi-continent circus is everything I hate about modern boxing

Don't really get all the trash talk bollock. I know its supposedly to promote the fight to the knuckle draggers of the world. That said I will most probably watch it just to see McGregor get schooled.

That's what it is. A circus.Coops wrote:I am not sure about it as it all seems a bit of a circus.
We shouldn't be surprised with Floyd "Money" Mayweather doing anything for more dosh (like he needs it), or the non stop b*llocks talking machine that is McGregor.
This isn't boxing.
Nonetheless I expect Mayweather to hand him his arse. Many of the best boxers in the world couldn't beat him, so I don't see why a part time boxer would.

People would pay to see mayweather beaten to a pulp
But in the same vein, I think Mayweather will easily take the Tim in under Queensbury's !

Re: Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather
Do people think Mayweather will put a beating on McGregor?
Personally I don't, I think Mayweather will win every round without really hurting McGregor, at any point, which is probably why McGregor took the fight, all that money, with little real risk.

Re: Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather
Quite funny watching McGregor do his usual trash talking in a fight where he will be lucky to land 1 shot.
Trash talking never looks so bad if you win or give a good account of yourself.
Can't see him.being knocked out by one punch but he is going to ship a huge number of punches I'd guess. Could force a stoppage.
Something tells me all of this is ****ing bent though. If McGregor does well but loses to set up a rematch. We will know it was fixed.

I agree, the challenge that Mayweather has is making this fight last long enoughstu1 wrote:Do people think Mayweather will put a beating on McGregor?

Re: Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather
Hopefully 3 weeks later the biggest boxing fight of the year GGG vs Canelo delivers so that this farce is quickly forgotten about

Re: Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather
Does the fact that Mayweather hasn't fought in 2 years make any difference?
That aside, I actually couldn't care less about this "event". I'm not interested in making either of these men any wealthier than they already are, tbh. Won't be watching.
