Little things in life that make you smile

Anything goes in The Snug, General Discussion's rebellious little brother. An off-topic den of iniquity where any subject not covered elsewhere may be discussed. Well, anything except golf, Star Wars and Arsenal.

This is where bubble is getting at, other posters confusing the issue with treqyartstsisststsa and all that b*llocks.

Deeper forward, second striker, central forward - point being that, like Di Canio - he played as a forward, in the centre, before he joined the club.

Anyway, Bubbles thinks Andy Carroll was good value at £35m and doesn't believe that players naturally get slower from around 32/33 onwards....Image

My pa (who is very posh what what) bending over and accidentally letting out a little powder puff, leading to her being very red faced, and me nearly wetting myself with laughter.

Took me a while to realise you meant your PA and not your dad!

Paternity leave/staycation. Managed to get a **** ton of stuff done around the gaff given that newborn means we're fairly tied to the house. Filing, organising, gardening, waterproofing, all sorts. Which gives me a few days to fart around at the end of this second week. Planning on using our new inflatable kayak on the Thames, having shelled out for memberships to British Canoeing.

I could get used to this not working malarkey.

Tonight being my last night of 7 on nights. Probably the only night shift where I go in to work with a spring in my step and a smile on my face - helped massively by the fact that apart from a day of overtime driving on Wednesday - I'm not stepping foot in to the garage again until 21st of August as it's annual leave time :scarfer:

Taking out our new inflatable kayak on the Thames for the first time. Most enjoyable. £80 well spent, every home should have one!

Getting picked up by Dave Cocks? Yeah, I should do that more often.

As for the Kayaking, my elder daughter is now planning our next trip, which appears to involve me doing all the work whilst she sits on her arse. To make up for it, I'm going to make her run 5k AND do at least 20k on her bike tomorrow.

West Ham were close to signing Neymar from Santos in 2010. Offered £25m but move collapsed when Santos asked for more money
We spent £8m in total that summer. Image

It seems to be something where everyone makes up their own definition.

It's the 2017 equivalent of Diamanti's position. Image
Yup. Everyone from Declan Rice to Jack Wilshere. Image

The debate was about Bellamy - around 29/30 at the time - and regarding his dropping value and that he would likely start to lose his pace in a couple of years (which players do) (which he did) and would not be the same player.

You thought he'd be a speedy gonzales till he was about 35 and then attempted to name some pacey 35 year olds Image

You like the number 35, don't you? :D

Seeing as he never really got the chance to play in the position, you'll never know, will you?
