The badge on that potential 3rd shirt is infinitely better than the one on our home shirt that's plastered everywhere.

It's kind of interesting, with how they have been accused of removing or wanting to airbrush the history of the club over recent years, that the last three years have seen them do the Boleyn shirt harking back to our shirt when we debuted at the ground, the Thames Ironworks one, and now this badge here.

Wasn't the reason we couldnt use the TIW shirt the fact that the badge was different to the other shirts?

If it is real it would be the best shirt I can remember. That neeeeds to replace the London badge. Please, it would be perfect!

Man, how can the same people be responsible for that badge, and the atrocity we've got at the moment.

It is essentially just a polo shirt mind you.

Mainly because they are totally different people. One was designed 100 years ago, no doubt free of charge, the other was designed 2 years ago and no doubt cost a fortune.

I actually prefer the shape/style of the hammers on the official badge, but agree it looks much nicer with all the wording taken away. Less is certainly more. A floating 'West Ham United' and shoehorned in 'London' are certainly not needed.

Saying that, even the official badge looks kind of OK when used in single tone, ie, all white, all claret, all blue etc...

I should clarify, I don't mean the design of the badge, I mean the same people approved using both on kits.

Can only assume a certain 'Lady' is less bothered about these novelty 3rd shirts than she was about getting an Arsenal replica in place as the official badge.

Yes it does, I have a navy coloured training t shirt with the toned down white badge on and it does look much smarter.

It's the same badge as found on this top. Image

I thought it was actually down to contravening the FA guidelines on kit advertising space - http://www.thefa.com/football-rules-gov ... dvertising" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. Possibly something to do with the Betway logo. Although I don't think we ever actually got a definitive answer.

Even if the 3rd strip is just a polo, it's a really flipping nice polo.

I wonder if this will be marketed as our 'cup kit' like last year or be used as a genuine 3rd choice kit. Can't think of too many times we'd have to genuinely change the claret or black because of a colour clash :?

Wow!

I'm buying that, that's the best shirt we've had this century.
