Makes no sense. Unless the thinking is that Adrian Peterson is still a difference maker? Can't see that with a offense that is so pass oriented and has two of it's starting OL out. They do have a last place schedule (means winnable games against Bears, Jets and Rams) but are in a tough division. Even if Cam Newton is injured long-term and Carolina struggles, they still have to finish better than Atlanta and TB. Would be surprised if they make the playoffs.

Tampa-Miami officially moved to Week 11

That's what I thought. Their division is tough. For all their work over the summer I don't think they're drastically improved from last season, if at all.

They do, based on all the stats from last season, have the 3rd easiest schedule on paper, but that's kind of offset by the fact that all their division rivals have similarly easy schedules on paper.

Panthers 2nd
Tampa 5th
Falcons 6th

Maybe they just have a bigger following who gamble.

If Janikowski does not take a pay cut from the $ 4M due to him this year, they will go with the Australian kicker they have on their books.

Not save as such, as if he stays on the books they have to pay his $ 4M irrespective.
They have asked him to cut his salary by $ 1.5m - 2m.
They love him as a player but concerned about his recent injuries and ole' father time is catching up on him.

Jack Del Rio was evasive in questions about Raiders kicker Sebastian Janikowski. The coach would not address whether Janikowski was asked to take a pay cut, offering only that the kicker tryouts the team held Monday were because of concerns over Janikowski’s health.

“I think it kind of took on a life of its own,” Del Rio said, via Michael Wagman of the Associated Press. “A lot of people reporting and speculating but we’re just doing our due diligence, and we’ll see how the week goes.”

The team’s injury report lists Janikowski with a back injury.

While Del Rio said he was hopeful Janikowski can play Sunday, the question remains whether the Raiders choose to release Janikowski before 4 p.m. ET on Saturday when his $4.05 million contract will become guaranteed. ESPN’s Adam Schefter first reported the Raiders want their 2000 first-round pick to take a pay cut.

Last season I had gamepass and used the NFL app on Xbox 360 to watch live games. It was great apart from my team being rubbish (as they will be this season, but go Jets anyway).
This season I bought gamepass again, but...Xbox 360 NFL app isn't there anymore. I hate using my phone to watch TVs/sport, but it's better than nothing and will have to do. Bit gutted. Haha.

More fun in Cleveland:

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Browns are releasing safety Calvin Pryor, after he got into a fight with a teammate before practice.

Elsewhere, Janikowski takes a $1m haircut to stay with the Raiders.

Also, some talk of cancelling the Dolphins game in London since they're losing the bye week that follows playing overseas. I'd say unlikely but not impossible.

and so it began.

patriots D as ***** as it gets, hightower down, amendola out already, brady overthrowing stuff.
not writing them off of course, but they won't be as good as last season.

hunt looked great, killer first step, breaks takles, sweet hands, all after fumbling in his first career carry.
when he was off the field the chiefs were much less threatening.

kelce played like a fullback and is a ****.

Line play is the hardest thing to predict going into the season. If Pats had kept running in the first half they probably would have pulled away as they're run blocking was solid but pass protection was hit or miss. Their defensive front 7 definitely was un-dominant against both the pass and run. If not for KC taking 8 zillion penalties and having crap special teams, the score could have been even worse for the Patsies.

So not looking forward to this season.

I root for the NFL equivalent of West Ham. Try to guess who.
