When and why did Muesli become synonymous with "liberals"?

Containers.
They have all sorts of numbers on them, I assume to aid in tracking them. Is there a single database that monitors where all the containers are, or do individual owners monitor their own? I assume ports can check who owns a particular container so that they can charge them for the time it's taking up space? What if they can't trace the owner? Does it then belong to the port?
What happens if a container gets too badly damaged, or gets sold for other uses, and the owners forget to take it off the database?

That's bordering on container fetishism, do you get sexually aroused when driving past Tilbury..?WHU_Del wrote:Containers.

To help you a little each containers shipping number is unique to the company that owns it. In a moderen computerised system they can track the container down to exactly where it is in any port.WHU_Del wrote:Containers.

The first 4 letters of the container number tell you who owns said container and the rest of the number is their reference number for that container.
They do not very often lose them unless its overboard but there will be a log on each vessel which can tell you where every container is on that ship so easy to work out whats gone missing. I am sure there is a compliance bod somewhere checking as to whether the should write containers off etc etc. Hope that helps.

Nobody really knows but it's been suggested that it's named after Nelson as he used to use tactics that surrounded the enemy at The Nile and Trafalgar.RichieRiv wrote:Seems appropriate for this page.....

My old man used to say that a Nelson (in cricket) was named after Admiral Nelson because he had one eye, one arm and one a**eholeRichieRiv wrote:Seems appropriate for this page.....
