Maybe a longer trip BACK for some.
Two poor attacking sides and a draw will suit both
0-0 written all over it, Last match on MOTD.
Least shots at goal recorded.

I'd seriously consider giving A1 / M62 and up to Burnley route a go. I avoid the M6 as much as possible now.

Don't forget for those that don't want to go to the cricket club that Burnley have a marquee set up inside the ground for away fans selling food and drink

One of my favourite away runs , visiting a proper football club and a proper football ground .

No idea how we'll line up but I fancy an away win and a peppered steak pie .

Noble to start .

Recommended route! You may get some "variable speed calming" on the M62, but other than that should be fine - since that shyte journey home from Everton last season we never touch the M6 other than for West Brom.

Think we will win quite comfortably, and beat Brighton as well

They have started the season very well. Wouldn't say they have any standout players but they work well as a team. Dyche has them very organized.

Hart
Zabaleta, Fonte, Reid, Cresswell
Antonio, Noble, Kouyate, Masuaku
Lanzini
Hernandez

Arnautovic, Sakho, Carroll on the bench as options to bring on.
Some will argue Sakho to start but who would he come in for?

I thought they scored the best goal of the weekend. Stunning team goal at a tricky away game.

They're practically an Allardyce clone so all very pragmatic but extremely well organised and we'll have to be on it to get anything from them this season. We obviously have the talent, it's just getting it out of them. I'm expecting a draw as their confidence will be currently sky high and ours is still stuttering.

I think Tarkowski is one. He's a very good young English centre half.

Can't underestimate these guys. They've won at Stamford Bridge and Goodison Park and clearly have no fear.
If anything I envy Burnley to a degree. They go for it playing their game, while we scrape by on luck and the misfortune of the other team.
A draw wouldn't be a bad result, but we do have what it takes to win and win well.

Surely the best way to look at this is that we beat this lot only 10 or so games ago...and have strengthened in certain areas since.

However, we cannot ignore that their early successes seem built on a strong team ethic, and an ability to absorb and roll out a careful tactical plan.

Hart will surely want to shine on the pitch where a rival for his international place plays.

It may though be at the other end of the pitch where Slaven has the biggest headache. It doesn't to me make much sense to have bought two players in Hernandez and Arnautovic and then to struggle to deploy them to maximum impact. I am a big fan of Iron Mike, but we must not be rushing him back from injury all the time.

A win would shake us free from the desperados down in the basement, but Burnley have drawn as many games as they have won, and have conceded less than a goal a game.

It will be tight. A point each, or a single goal settling it.

Presuming Lanzini is properly fit for this, and Bilic doesn't bugger up the tactics, I see us getting at least a point.

Burnley are a good team, but every match they have played for a long time has been close so it's not like they roll over anyone, and this one will just have a goal in it either way as well.

Going for a 1-2 to us, same as last year.

Carroll and Ayew to the bench, bring in Lanzini and Arnautovic/Masuaku.

You'd think Masuaku would have done enough to start. If we go 3 at the back I'd have him in at LWB, if we go 4 at the back I'd have him in front of Cresswell; Ayew and Arnie on the bench. Up front is where Slav has the biggest headache.

Can't let them get the first goal as they're starting to get a habit of holding slender leads and don't care for having little possession at home.

With our firepower going forward we should be blowing teams like this away, no matter how organised they are!

For this game we could have, going forward, Hernandez, Sakho, Carroll, Antonio, Lanzini, Arnautovic and Ayew!

Compared to last Season of Zaza, Fletcher, Calleri, Snodgrass and Fegouli

Not sure Burnley can be put in the category of "teams like these". But you're right we do have better options up front now ,on paper at least.
