Re: KUMB General Formula 1 News thread
Vettel being a **** again. Drove straight into the back of Lewis sending Lewis to the back of the pack by some distance with a puncture, the upside is that he did enough damage to himself too!
Brundle there saying it wasn’t deliberate but Vettel made no effort of turning away on the replay - so if it wasn’t deliberate it was truly ****!
Still could make a brilliant race now as Lewis makes his way back through the pack.

Re: KUMB General Formula 1 News thread
I may cough cough have been watching on a stream, but to me it looked like Vettel damaged his front wing on Verstappen's car, then the sharp edges cut Hamilton's tyre when Vettel moved in for a closer look at it.
The stewards have had a look and will take no action.
Silly Lewis, all he had to do was stay on the other side of the track while the rest ruined each others races.
As has been said many times, you can't win it on the first lap but you can certainly lose it.

****ing Germans cannot do anything gracefully. Schumacher was the same. Never lose with grace and humility. He tried for that.
FIA will do sod all about it as they don't want to upset the Italians. Hope his wheels fall off on the last lap.

Engineer “Max that was the same lap time”
Very likeable is Max, would love next year to have him and Lewis fighting it out for the title.

Next year Red Bull will have the Honda engine, which, unless there's an improvement of mammoth proportions, will have them mid table at best.

Re: KUMB General Formula 1 News thread
For Red Bull to take them on they must know something, I think there will be a surprise for Honda next year. Why go for a almost competitive Renault to a Honda unless massive promises (or back handers) have been made.Johnny Byrne's Boots wrote:Next year Red Bull will have the Honda engine, which, unless there's an improvement of mammoth proportions, will have them mid table at best.

Re: KUMB General Formula 1 News thread
Red Bull effectively ditched Renault because of early season failures, Mercedes and I believe Ferrari wouldn't supply them. Not much choice really.

Re: KUMB General Formula 1 News thread
That is the public version, I've read some stuff that alludes to in internal workings of F1, Mercedes helping Ferrari for example, they all 'want' it to be competitive. You get more sponsors, more money and more Kudos if it is hard work. I have a feeling Red Bull will be very competitive next year.Johnny Byrne's Boots wrote:Red Bull effectively ditched Renault because of early season failures, Mercedes and I believe Ferrari wouldn't supply them. Hamilton takes his 4th world championship can passes Stewart. Well done to him, should have done it last year but was dogged with "bad luck" (Germans wanted Rosberg to win it)
Vettel can do one.
