Watford 2-0 West Ham Utd (19/11/17)
Some time in the distant future... they got badly stung (by Everton) too.
Two teams with something to prove, us with a new man at the helm?

They won't lose to us, you can guarantee that Silva will have them working and thinking hard to put the Everton game behind them.
2-0 to Watford.
2-0 to Watford.

Re: Watford v West Ham Utd: match thread
they've lost three in a row now. 4 points from the last 15 and out of the cup via bristol city. their results in general haven't been great, only a tight win against an arsenal side that fell to pieces against them in the last ten minutes. all those noshing off silva seem to miss that though.Jumby wrote:They won't lose to us, you can guarantee that Silva will have them working and thinking hard to put the Everton game behind them.
2-0 to Watford.
still, we're **** so they're good for a 2-0.

With a new manager and players playing for a start we'll come out like a bull released from its pen.
If it's Moyes he'll play Arnie and Antonio, with Carroll in the middle and The Pea behind him.
And we'll somehow contrive to get a win. 1 - 2.

Re: Watford v West Ham Utd: match thread
At the time of writing I'm giving Slav a further 28 games to save his job .
I've always believed the game to be about players and some of ours are hiding , shirking responsibility and behaving in a downright unprofessional way .
If they think they're all going to get traded to bigger and better clubs, guess again .Most of them have very full contracts relative to their recent performances , and it's time for them to deliver .
If they don't believe their boss is up to the job there are enough senior pro's in our squad to organise themselves to get the basics right - movement , shape , who's picking up who etc .
What though have Hernandez, Arnautovic and Zabaletta really delivered to justify their contracts thus far ?
Carroll , Cresswell and Antonio are shadows of the players they can be , and have been, under this Manager , what are they doing to justify England squad fringe status ?
Time to earn it .

If, as expected, Slaven is not here by the time of this game, I hope others join me with a chant of Super Slav.
As an AST holder for his term of manager he’s given me some incredible memories as manager - let alone some of the ones at home too.
It seems fitting we should give him a send off that he deserves.
If Moyes is in the dugout then I might sing it for 90 minutes.

So , what formation does our new Manager prefer ? I think he is a 451 merchant , no win i'm afraid , can see a 1-1 draw to set the tone to a just about surviving end....

Re: Watford v West Ham Utd: match thread
The only benefit a new manager brings to a match thread, is the opposition manager will not have a clue who will play or what formation we set up in, and neither will we either !!
He'll set up ultra defensively for the next 6 or 7 games, give nothing away and hopefully notch the odd break away goal - remember his job is to get points on the board, whatever that takes, in the short term - he knows as well as we do a bad start will mean utter vitriol heading in his and the board's direction.

I have no idea what team Moyes will pick but I think we will 2-0, and beat Leicester as well

On TV and much harder to police banners et al with the away support. Encourage the team but display our feelings about the board like we did against Big Sam at the Hawthorns (although I didn’t have an issue against him at that game!) it got picked up by the Press. I cannot believe an ageing Gold will want to put up with hatred....he looked exhausted on SKY. I think he can be broken.
