Good post.HamburgHammer wrote:I reckon one fine day the Sullivan reign at West Ham will be over. Then things can be analysed properly, but it's a given that Sullivan will have got far more out of West Ham than what he put into the club.
It'll be a story of asset stripping and milking a club by riding the Premier League gravy train on a very cheap ticket. GSB have been custodians of their own pockets far more than they have been acting as custodians of West Ham.

£8m profit realised on the sale of the football ground. £4m went to Icelandic creditors, £4m to David Sullivan.Pop Robson wrote:Land Registry has the sale of the Boleyn Ground at £40M on 15-7-2016

Just after we bought Ayew , Swansea released details on the deal because they had to borrow against the money owed by us so they could buy a player...smuts wrote:I would love to know the instalment plans for Ayew and Arnautovic. Funny how the record signings are from mid table PL teams isn't it?
Re: Gold and Sullivan ???
I honeslty don't know where they throught it would be ok to give a donation to the Tory party using West Ham is just plan wrong.
They know full well West Ham working class routes and yes while they may support the Tories and some of the fans they also know full well that many labour members, councillors, mayors and MPs one who sit in the bobby Moore Lower support West Ham.
Plus the Toreis hate the aervage working man about time people saw that

Re: Gold and Sullivan ???
Use club funds to donate £12500 (thanks to the poster for putting up the actual figure) to a political party full of the richest in society.
A request for a token gesture such as a free pint or pie for ordinary fans going to 4 away games up and down the country in the space of 2 weeks is refused out of hand.
West Ham fans my arse.

Since Sullivan and Gold took over in January 2010 West Ham have spent £263.53m in transfer and loan fees for incoming players. They have received £103.47m in return for selling players over the same period. They have paid agents a total of £37.62m. Net spent 2010-2017=£197.68m
Another GSB mouthpiece by looks of it.Are these figures correct?Theyve obviously come straight from DS.Doubt this info is freely available on the net.If true just goes to show what a shocking job they’ve done on transfers.

Quite. If those figures are being released to somehow justify their belonging I’d say they actually justify that we are right to have the a*** with them....bubbles500 wrote:

They’ve spunked around 15% of our transfer fund on agents
They’ve still only spent little over £20m a year on average since they’ve come to the club
Funny how they never mentioned how much they’ve charged us interest on their loans or just how much income the club have taken in the same period...

Re: Gold and Sullivan ???
Those figures don't mean a great deal if they aren't discussed in relation to all income.
Re: Gold and Sullivan ???
what those figures say to me is we buy so much **** no one wants to buy them off us for more money.

Those figures suggest we need to get shot of the current director of football and whoever is negotiating those terrible wage deals as a matter of urgency.

Re: Gold and Sullivan ???
If they spent as much time looking at how to improve the infrastructure of the club from top to bottom, instead of seeding information to suck-up fan-sites, that would be a good start.
It is clear that they do not see that the likes of Claret and Hugh and Ex have been rumbled as their mouthpieces. Is it too much to ask that they just, I don't know, run the club rather than waste time justifying themselves when the evidence against them is ridiculously strong?
Two-bob chancers.

Re: Gold and Sullivan ???
Is it just me or do we seem to spend more on agents fees than the average/norm?
Re: Gold and Sullivan ???
Those figures highlight all that is wrong with Sullivan's tenure, imo. Instead of investing in development, scouting and the infrastructure to go with it , Sullivan is paying agents and making huge salary offers to ,what he perceives to be,"big names" regardless of whether they are what we actually need! His penchant in the loan,"try before you buy" cannot be defended by one success (Lanzini) amongst countless failures, with another defence - "at least we didn't buy them outright!".Sullivan's incompetence and insistence in playing DOF , is costing this club upwards of £20m a season in agents' fees, "dead loans" or taking a hit on terrible signings and veterans with no sell on value as well paying off contracts, imo.
Last season, we payed the sixth highest amount to agents, with Spurs payinf £2.5 less!!

Re: Gold and Sullivan ???
Loan signings is a weird one. You could argue the success of it either way. Find an unknown, sign on a proper contract after it becomes clear he's a gem - system is a success. Loan someone you're not sure about, they turn out to be ****, no permanent deal problems - system is a success.
Incidentally, there are some other numbers on C&H as well as those mentioned above. Couldn't see them on this thread anywhere already:
"Wages paid out 2010-2017 = £519.5m
Match Tickets sold 2010-2017 =£172.6m
TV broadcast income 2010-2017 =£518.8m
Commerical and Sponsorship income 2010-2017= £118.6m
Retail and store income 2010-2017= £52.5m
West Ham Turnover 2010-2016 =£666m with an estimated turnover of £200m for last season so should reach £866m
The Hammers have reported losses for five of the seven years 2010-2016 accumulating £71.4m of losses
Only two years have reported profits totalling £13.3m meaning a net loss of £58.1m"
