West Ham United 1-1 Leicester City (24/11/17)
The London Stadium. Friday 24th November. 8pm.
Sorry, couldn't find a match thread so started one.
Whatever team is selected, if Zaba is right back against Vardy running the channel inside him, it will not end well.

Re: West Ham v Leicester City: Match Thread
One thing maybe overlooked is the players we were missing in today's game; Antonio, Hernandez, Ayew. All three could have made a difference today.
We got any chance of these lads being fit for Friday?

Midfield trio of Obiang, Noble and Kouyate can't move the ball. Moyes fell for it straight away by trying to be solid but not realising by losing the ball in that area our poor posseasion stats will invite pressure. Lanzini must start in the middle as we have no one else. Carvalho would have been perfect in that position and with him in the team I'm positive we would have been in the upper echelons of the league.

There are so many reasons why I shouldn’t be going to this game on my birthday - not least it’s Black Friday.
I will take any win...even a joined up protest against the board...before and after we win 2-1.
Moyes boys come good...

the result is the least important thing about this match. can't bear to give these c**** another penny but anything happening outside the ground i'll want to be a part of.

Could be a very miserable evening. At least I’ll avoid the traffic if I stay until full time.

We’ll lose.
We’ll be surrounded by apathy on and off the pitch.
We’ll be be laughed at by everyone
We’ll be back for more

Has to be 5 at the back.. We are too exposed and Vardy one on one against any one of Reid/Ogbonna/Fonte/Collins/Zaba/Cresswell he will have a first half hatrick.
Playing the extra centre halve gives the cover we need as we can't pass water. We are so one dimensional we don't make the other team move off the ball they can pretty much stand in a place and read the next pass.
5 - 3 - 2

Leicester are actually favourites for this match with Betfair.

Would imagine Leicester can't wait !coyi27 wrote:Leicester are actually favourites for this match with Betfair.
Vardy, Mahrez, Gray, Albrighton up against our lot at the back. Pot shots galore to Harts left side. I reckon we will score but we will also concede. Probably more than we will score as well.

Possibly worst opponents outside top 6 we could have. Already look better under puel. For me they will come 7th .We will play straight into their hands and get murderrd on the counter.Vardy and gray against our creaky aging defence wont be pretty.

Re: West Ham United v Leicester City: Match Thread
Too early for significant improvements in team pattern or set up, but I see a better performance but one that will still end in a defeat. Leicester have improved under Puel, gone back to their suck em in and hot them on the counter approach. If we were smart we'd play them at their own game, invite them on and use Antonio, Masuaku and Lanzini to break with pace. If we play Slowble and Lanzini out wide we'll lose this game badly.

Re: West Ham United v Leicester City: Match Thread
Throughout the 70's. 80's and 90's we were always guaranteed wins over Leicester, we seemed to have the Indian sign over them. Turning to this match, Mahrez on the right, Vardy's pace on the left and Demarai Gray in the number 10 role sends shudders down my spine

We must win this game with the next lot coming up, and if we do Moyes is also finished considering he’s gonna lose the next few too. We’re sinking badly.
