Just proves what we expected the clusterfuck of a club from the outside is inevitably felt by many on the inside impinging on everything on and off the pitch. Probably bites Collins more because he and Noble are amongst only a few who care about the club in the way we do and now have this love hate pain as a result of their emotional attachment. Others probably just want yo get out to a professional outfit with ambition or at worst a sense of stability. Our ambition has been simply a reciculously unsustainable mirage that has inevitably dissipated and revealed the truth to fans and players alike in their different ways.
Re: Brighton & Hove Albion v West Ham Utd: match thread
Our biggest problems today were a combination of individual poor play and lack of players to deal with their set up.
Brighton’s wide players had a field day. At first I thought this was a tactical mistake but really there wasn’t much Moyes could do about it because we did not have any players who could press or cover their full backs which gave them plenty of 2 on 1 situations. When we pulled players from midfield to deal with their wide players we were overrun in the middle of the park. Noble and Zabaleta are too slow and once again Kouyate was hopelessly unaware defensively. It didn’t help that Ginge, Rice and Ogbonna all had their worst games of the year at the same time. By ram has missed so much time that he isn’t familiar with what he needs to do or how to play with his teammates.
We also missed Arthur as Joao Mario was the only outlet.
Chicharito, while brilliant for his goal was hopeless at hold up play ( for example look at Brighton’s first goal).
We are desperately missing a holding midfielder, Lanzini, Arnautovic, Obiang and Arthur.
Against Watford, I would move Zabaleta back to the right and put Rice into holding midfield if either Fonte or Reid are fit enough to play, I would also play Hugill up front with Chicharito if Arnsutovic is still out and drop Kouyate.

Gold doesn't get let off the hook by me. Just because he sends out the odd "get well soon" or happy birthday tweet to the odd fan doesn't get him off the hook especially when he bangs the life long fan drum.e17 wrote:Respect that it’s about Brady & Sullivan - obvious for a while that Santa is merely an unwilling unfortunate accomplice these days

At least he's stopped promoting his free online book.....

I’ve put on the RWHF group on Facebook about gold. Yes he’s the lesser of 2 evils, yes he’s more of a genuine fan, but he’s every bit as complicit in the act as Sullivan. They’ve made millions together, through various dubious manners. Not once as far as I am aware has he pulled him up on it, called time on the partnership. He may not have as larger share of the ownership but he could at any time have lulled tge reigns in on any part of their actions. From the breakdown of the building project onwards. Fell in through the door at 3am this morning. Nursing a terrible hangover.
Didn't stop bumping into people all day, literally from getting on the train early morning it just seemed one of those chance occasions.
Pre match meal was delightful. Very good Italian in the city centre.
They were the better side, deserved the win..... reckon their 2nd was a cross though.
Board would have been left in no doubt as to the depth of hatred towards them, very vocal. It's increasing each away.
Couple of mentions ......
To the twat who booed Hugill when he came on. Sort you're life out, pig ignorant.
And to the group of wannabe under 5's who started on us outside the station, believing we were Brighton. Absolute helmets, you were looking for trouble, hope you found it and got your heads kicked in

There is a glaring anomaly, which if put right would improve things without spending any money.
We have no one who can bring the ball out of defence and progress 30 or 40 yards upfield except Kouyate who is wasted in an attacking midfield role from which I recall very little creativity in a year or so. Moyes inherited him in that position but has had long enough now to realise it's not working,
Get him back to Central Defense and encourage him to bring the ball out from there.

That's probably because, the way Brighton cut through the midfield - the answer was sitting out in Portugal.WH_Olympic wrote:J-Mario and Hernandez both had decent games, although the lack of movement around them was criminal.
Terrible tactical performance today. Moyes didn't seem to have any answer for it.

There’s also answers in France and Belgium.
But the real answer is in our owners back pocket.

you can't underestimate what a loss masuaku is. He's a great outlet when under pressure and he covers when we're taking corners because of his pace. His runs often end in blind alleys but he takes two or three defenders with him. Another 4 games to go!
