They need one more win than us and have Spurs, Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool in their next five!

Also worth pointing out that winning breeds confidence; we are on a mediocre 'run' of slowly bobbling up the table, and have been playing as such. Hesitant, sloppy, but improving as games go on without us conceding.

Once Palace come off of that run, without Zaha, its a big ask for him to step back into the team when they could be starting to drift down, and turn the form around for their relatively nice run-in at the end.

Sturridge gone off within 5 minutes with a likely hamstring injury

Looks very likely now that West Brom has taken one of the relegation spots. I can't see them getting 16-17 points from their last 11 games when they are struggling to score goals.

Whenever we try to rule a team out they usually go on a good run, so I’d wait before dismissing the Baggies.

Their next six fixtures include home matches against Huddersfield, Leicester, Burnley and Swansea and trips to Watford and Bournemouth. They could well pick up quite a few wins from those.

I would say though that if they fail to pick up at least 10 points from that lot they’re doomed given their final 5 fixtures.

I'd love to see Palace get sucked right back into it, they've stolen points this season with their cheating, Zaha in particular, so I think it's time they go back down to their natural habitat.

Think so. They've put up a fairly decent show tonight, but they are shot shy in front of goal. I said earlier, the key to survival is goals and they have only scored 21 for the season. Don't think they have enough quality either

I genuinely feel a little sorry for West Brom. They were really excited when they got Sturridge. What a mess. Glad we "missed out".

When looking at their fixtures, Baggies may well pick up 10, possiblity even 13 points from their run of games against teams in and around them, but that looks like where it all ends for them. Feel sorry for them and their fans, but think they'll bow out on 33 points. That sends out the marker. Of the other two places, 37 or 38 should secure safety for the team finishing 17th

I remember when Chris Brunt got coined by his own fans when he went to throw his shirt in the crowd after a game, their fans booing Pulis as he got them to mid table. When you look at the squad they have they are probably about where they should be. Cheeky bid for Evans in the Summer?

The perfect type of bid for Sullivan, cheeky in nature and value, whilst it will never happen as he wouldn’t want to come here.

I think it could end up with about 5/6 teams that could go down depending on the last game of the season (and that includes us).

West Brom look down now. It’s from 10 to 19 to decide the other 2. I hope more than anything those 2 come from Bournemouth, Newcastle, Palace, Stoke and Southampton. I would love to watch the last matches of the season from the security of the top half of the table trying to decide which two of those 5 I would most like to see go down.

I like Paul Lambert, he's a decent man. For that reason I want Stoke to stay up. Bournemouth can get f**ked. It's going to be exciting, I don't think we're going to be involved, come the end.

It's quite strange seeing such a West ham thing happen to another club, I'm not quite sure how I feel about it!
