Re: Liverpool v West Ham Utd: match thread
We've been more focused and better disciplined against the top teams and Liverpool. We can get the odd goal these days....so I'm going for a 1:1 Chico
Other than that.....I've no idea

Re: Liverpool v West Ham Utd: match thread
This is a completely different type of game to that played against Watford, therefore no sentiment should be had in keeping the same line-up (sorry Chich and Mario). As a previous poster said, sit deep and play over the press with fast, strong attackers.

Pool will play a v high line and those two attackers will be able to bully their CBs on the turn

I reckon we will score 1. So it all depends on how many Salah/Firmino/Mane get that will determine our fate.

Re: Liverpool v West Ham Utd: match thread
You have to have Ginge in there, as there will be a need for bodies blocking the amount of shots they have
Antonio/Arnie up front is interesting, out ball etc, good plan, very harsh on lil pea who is finding some form. f*** it, let's go three up top and miss out the midfield, hoooof.

Re: Liverpool v West Ham Utd: match thread
I wouldn't put Ginge in there against Liverpool's pace. if Fonte is fit, I'd go for a back three of Fonte/Reid/Ogbonna. Zabaletta/Cresswell to complete the back 5. Noble/Mario/Kouyate in midfield and Arnie/Chica up front. Leave Antonio/Lanzini on the bench and replace Arnie/Chica with like for like once we're a few goals up (cough!)

Re: Liverpool v West Ham Utd: match thread
For those of you doubting Ginge...
Perhaps his finest ever performance was at Anfield, when Suarez was on fire and he kept him tied up in his back pocket the whole game. He had no pace then either and Suarez was like lightening. Ginge just dispossessed him every time.
We drew 0-0 that day. No doubt we drop Collins this time and lose 3-0.

Whatever we do going forward, whether it's playing it to feet, to head, in the channels, whipping crosses in etc...we need to do it early, because their back four is a disorganised mess.

Re: Liverpool v West Ham Utd: match thread
Hit’em early, all guns blazing, grab a goal.
Then sit tight, 8 at the back tight, long balls over the top for Arnie to bully their shambolic defence grab another goal then sit in for the rest of the game and scrape over the line at 2-1.

We'll have 13% possession but put in a masterclass of clinical finishing.
6 - 0 to the Hammers.
Chic 3, Arnie, Noble (pen), Collins
GSB out!

Re: Liverpool v West Ham Utd: match thread
We'll become the first side in history to win at Anfield without a shot on target.
Liverpool 0 West Ham United 1 (Lovren own goal)
Klopp will moan that we didn't come to play football.
