due to the snow we managed to get it put off until august at the same price

double win. so didnt have to pay out £140 yesterday , and in the summer should be £200 so got winter price for summer course

then we played panshanger.. bone dry.. £16.50 each..

scored 40 points happy days
i get the impression from your updates that you may be a bit of a handicap bandit Mumbles...

You seem to score close to or above 36 points every round!

Definitely time to cut a couple of shots

I am hoping for a cut this year! very hard to get cut in society as you have to come in with 37 points or more / win to get cut so makes it tough work

those are all bounce days no pressure. my gamegolf handicap is 2 less than my society handicap due to it tracking every round

fingers crossed I can string this form together for the events this year

won a couple of events in my other society but nothing more than 36 at the time i think

you should only be getting 36 points a couple of times a year

my first outing of the year on sunday and it all fell apart on the back nine
15 points on the front - 10 on the back due to 3 blobs

Depends how often you play.

As a rule of thumb expect to beat your handicap in one out of 10 rounds, be in the buffer for 2-3 rounds and be over the buffer for the rest.

Indeed however if you don’t post high scores in the events that matter your Society handicap can’t be cut

Also easy to score high points in the winter as you can pick and place most of time and aim the ball right at the flag knowing it will stop as it will most likely plug

difference is im trying hard to be cut, ive been cut on my own tracking system but we always play to society handicaps when we meet up so until I do it in the events that's the rules

fingers crossed this season will be my last on this handicap

If I joined a club id be cut much quicker , just don't like being a member of a club. limiting myself to one course all the time

7 of us are going on a golfing holiday in june

I think 5 of the 7 have Game Golf so we have agreed to play with the handicap GG gives us

so I should be cut by then as its already got me 2 lower than my societies do.

updates every round so much more precise

I play at the Essex in Earls Colne. Very decent course with a lovely short course the other side of the road.

Haven't got an official handicap yet but scoring around 24 over (including one or two triple bogeys or worse). Scoring around 34-38 points off a 28 handicap.

Hoping to get an official handicap this year to have something genuine to work from but as it is only me and the father in law in a pair we really need to go round with some other members to sign off our cards.

We played Hever Castle last year as part of a 12 man group, lovely course and would recommend it to anyone that side of the river.

You shouldn't take your anger out on the flags, it's not their fault.

I'm going up to Edingburgh on Monday for a few days of golf, any courses I should be playing (bear in mind that the group I'm going with, the handicaps range from 14 to 28 and we're not looking to spend a fortune on a round, say £40 tops)?
