I cooked a leg of lamb over the weekend aswell, and Shepherds Pie sounds just the ticket for the leftover's as I already made some nice gyro's last night.
How do you dice/slice the lamb Dan ? Old fashioned mincer ?

Yup, just that. Coarse settin, typically, although the lamb was so tender I just chopped into chunks with a knife.
Ron - very little waste, if that’s what you meant? And much tastier than bought mince (IMO).

Gammon, egg, chips & beans.
Sometimes the simple meals are the best, and I enjoyed that far more than I really should have.
Home made oven chips too were spot on.

Turkey Crown with all the trimmings. It was the other half of the one we had Easter Sunday, followed by a Xmas Pud I found in the cupboard that was 12 months past its best before date, with a generous slop of Double Cream.
Christmas Day revisited and Xmas Pud was absolutely fine btw.

most minced meat in supermarkets in portugal has breadcrumbs in it
but the proper butchers will mince the piece you want at no extra cost.

My sister made me a home made pasty as part payment for my essay assistance. Filo pastry, filled with all kind of veg, non meat mince, in a tomato sauce with various spices (smoked paprika, Cayenne pepper, basil etc). I had it with steamed carrots, broccoli and cabbage. It was f'in amazing.

An attempt at a healthier burger and chips, have to say it was lovely.
Burgers cooked in the George Foreman grill, topped with low calorie cheese, onions and served in one of those sandwich thins
For the chips I chopped up some potatoes put them onto a baking tray, sprayed them with oil and added some salt and pepper, came out very crispy
