West Ham Utd 1-1 Stoke City (16/04/18)

Yes, Shaqiri is a very good player in that he's got a superb left leg & foot on him. He can definitely hurt any opposition. He's let down a bit though, by appearing to be about 3 stone overweight..

No offence to Stoke fans but if we can't beat this mob, at home, our players should be taken out & shot..

BBC report Stoke in recent times are better than their results, I don't expect this to be easy.

Win this and I think we have enough points to stay up.

Stoke have been poor. We have shown signs of improvement. They can't score and leak goals.

That can only mean one thing.

0-1 to Stoke.

It's the West Ham way.

Collins and Hernandez will start in place of Cresswell (injured) and Fernandes (benched).

Lanzini, and possibly Carroll, on the bench.

I think Stoke are showing a lot of improvement of late under Paul Lambert , they were matching Arsenal until Wenger's side scored from a dodgy penalty after Martins Indi got his toe to the ball first , and again against Tottenham they should have at least got a draw . In Butland , Martins Indi , Shawcross , Allen , Diouf and Shaqiri they have a decent side and we shouldn't underestimate them - having said that I fully expect us to win this game and secure those much needed three points .

Remember when we thrashed them up at their gaff and Arnie ran all over them?

See where they are in the table?

Notice that they've not won for 9 games?

Witness our decent point at the Bridge?

Nailed on 0-1 defeat.

Concerned Arnie won’t be fit for this. Started to feel his hamstring last weekend and the did the same after 5 minutes.

Won’t feel as confident if he is ruled out.

No mugs, played well last couple of games and fighting for their lives. Make no mistake, this will not be a walkover and the last couple of games may well have clouded our judgement of ourselves somewhat. Undoubtedly a bigger game for them than us - they know they’re down if they lose. Would we take a point right now? I’d be tempted...

Assuming that Lanzini is fit but Creswelll is injured, however if both are fit I’m not sure who I’d drop out of Mario and Kouyate.

Hernandez deserves to start whilst Arnie must play central. I see a few posters suggesting that Arnie be moved out wide to accommodate Hernandez....absolute madness. When someone is playing as well as Arnie is you don’t change his position and increase his defensive responsibilities.

Agree with Monkey Magic. They will be up for it. DM really needs to muster the troops for this one.

I would settle for a draw.

Three points would be delightful. After yesterday's draw, I fancy us staying in the money league if we don't lose the game against Stoke.

Well we've proven a few times this season that we can balls it up against teams we think we should beat so this isn't going to be easy. But we definitely need 3 points as we still wont be safe even if we get them.
