He was first class today, timed many challenges well. Shows enough promise to become a first choice for many seasons....

I hope we can keep him. When Noble hangs up his boots, he'll be the next captain.

I love Reid and was as keen as anyone for us to sign Carroll.

But if anyone has ever deserved being offered a 6 year deal......

Watching the game from behind the goal today you can see his reading of the game. Classy classy player and so mature for his age. He's going to get prem trophies, star in the making. Reminds me of a young Maldini

The boy is absolutely class. Give him a decent contract and get him committed, long term.

Needs to find a little more composure when in advanced positions, but I appreciate that's not what he is principally on the pitch for. I really like his reading of the game, if his progression continues next year I think he'll be the tits.

One of the few plusses of the season, despite all the chatter about the two Reeces, this lad is the real deal, and hope that he is here for many years to come

What a wonderful footballer. So calm, composed and assured. A real natural. Reads the game better than most his teammates, always picks the right pass. Very excited to see his development. And a Hammer to boot.

All of the above. Third great game in a row, always makes time for himself. Reid's injury hit season is suddenly not so important

He reminds me a lot of a certain Mr Robert Moore.

Fantastic reading of the game, great positional sense and better in the air.

You're not going to get two more different styles of play than Chelsea and Stoke. He shone in both.

Pleasure to watch. :crest:

Two things I never knew about Declan Rice:

- he was born in Surrey and only qualifies for Ireland through his grandparents (I thought he was a proper Paddy)

- John Terry is his idol and they are very good friends. When John Terry is back in London they often hook up
