Little things that irritate you

Anything goes in The Snug, General Discussion's rebellious little brother. An off-topic den of iniquity where any subject not covered elsewhere may be discussed. Well, anything except golf, Star Wars and Arsenal.

From the RNID, now rebranded by some utter twonk as 'Action on hearing loss' .

Can you imagine the meeting when they decided that to have Royal patronage in this modern world was somehow 'not relevant' and the type of people in the room?

Unless, of course they were another 'charity' with a few skeletons in the cupboard and had to change their name ?

:thdn:
Pardon?

Women who wear short skirts or dresses and spend every waking moment pulling the hem down so they don't show off their knickers.
If it's that short you are worrying about your undies showing, buy a longer f****** skirt!

The best thing I did was leaving my last place where the Chicago based Global Network Manager would regularly schedule meetings in afternoons - expecting a full house, including the poor Indian sap who had to delay going to bed to dial into it.

His other favourite was calling you out of hours when not even on-call because you didn't respond to an email at 9-11pm.

Get t' f***.

Anyone who schedules a meeting for 4pm or later is a ****, and no exceptions.

In fact anything later than 2 is really taking the proverbial, unless it's expected to be a short easy meeting, or it's in the pub.

Which reminds me of something else that irritates me in the modern working world - the long lost tradition that is POETS day.

It's already 4pm here.

The sun is shining

I'm meeting an old friend for a beer/pizza this evening

I'm only waiting around as I have a 4.30 conference call with the States.

After that . . . . I'm OUTTA here ! (so to speak).

COYRRI on Sunday, make it a good weekend for us all.

Feel your pain here, some complete and utter clustercunt from New York has booked in an hour long, weekly conference call at 18:30 BST.

Every Thursday evening everyone buggers off down the pub while soppy b*llocks here has to listen to someone chatting for the sake of chatting. On the plus side I have been told she is very fit and she thinks the sun shines out of my aris, could be promising.

Both of those plus sides will inevitably wrong.
